  • Patent number: 9174538
Abstract: At least two functions provided in an off-road operation of a vehicle are activated or deactivated by a single operation of a control device. The feedback regarding the activated overall functionality takes place via the display device, which may be provided as backlit symbol in the control device. The functions to be activated or deactivated are driver assistance on downhill grades in the form of a downhill driving restriction, flat accelerator pedal characteristic map, either power take-off function for a manual transmission or gear step preselection function for an automatic transmission, navigation display function, instrument cluster display function, driving light activation function, and automatic parking brake function.

  • Patent number: 9140047
Abstract: A method for lowering a window pane includes lowering the window pane from the starting position by a defined distance by a window lifter in a motor vehicle door after a state signal is received. The state signal is triggered by the actuation of a seatbelt buckle. By using the seatbelt buckle for the purposes of emitting the signal, the window pane is lowered by the defined distance only if the motor vehicle operator or one of motor vehicle occupants is expected to exit the motor vehicle.

Abstract: A method is provided for lowering a window pane that is lowered from a starting position by a defined distance by means of a window lifter in a motor vehicle door body after a state signal is received. The state signal is triggered by the actuation of a seatbelt buckle. By using the seatbelt buckle for the purposes of emitting the signal, the window panes are lowered by a defined distance only if the motor vehicle operator or other motor vehicle occupants want to exit the motor vehicle with a high degree of probability.

  • Patent number: 8538638
Abstract: A method and a device (1) for controlling a vehicle movement capability and/or a closure device (2), which closes at least one vehicle interface for receiving external feed equipment. It is possible for external feed equipment to be received only when a closure device is open. The vehicle movement capability knows at least the states ‘admissible’ and ‘inadmissible’, and the closure device (2) knows at least the states ‘locked without unlocking enabled (VOF)’ and ‘locked with unlocking enabled (VMF)’. The state of the closure device can be changed depending on at least one state of the vehicle movement capability and/or the state of the vehicle movement capability depending on at least one state of the closure device (2).

  • Patent number: 6894404
Abstract: A method and a device are for overvoltage protection in dual-voltage vehicle electrical systems that have a different level of voltage. A switching element is positioned in at least one branch of the vehicle electrical system on the higher voltage level, and a voltmeter unit is located in the vehicle electrical system on the lower voltage level. The switching element is controlled by the voltmeter.

  • Patent number: 6040766
Abstract: A motor vehicle navigation system arrangement includes a receiver for receiving information from a navigation system and an evaluation unit connected with the receiver for evaluating received navigation data and determining the current position of the vehicle. In addition, a country-determining arrangement is connected to the evaluation unit to determine from the position data the country in which the vehicle is currently located and a control unit sets vehicle parameters in accordance with the requirements of that country.
