  • Publication number: 20260131677
Abstract: When a charging connector is connected to an inlet, a charging control ECU puts a connector in a locked state by a lock device. When the lock device is in an unlocked state, the charging connector is removable from the inlet. The charging control ECU outputs an unlock command to the lock device when a vehicle speed is equal to or higher than a predetermined value and the lock device is in the locked state. When the lock device is not in the unlocked state after the unlock command is output, the charging control ECU diagnoses a failure of the lock device.

  • Publication number: 20260131676
Abstract: When a charging connector is connected to an inlet, a charging control ECU puts the charging connector in a locked state by a lock device. When a lock release mechanism is operated and the lock device is in an unlocked state, the charging control ECU sets a flag to 1. The charging control ECU outputs a lock command and then outputs an unlock command when the flag is set to 1 in a failure detection process. When the lock device is in the unlocked state, no failure is diagnosed, and when the lock device is not in the unlocked state, an unlock failure is diagnosed.

  • Publication number: 20260097668
Abstract: An inlet has a PISW to receive a reference voltage from a vehicle. When a discharging connector is connected to the inlet, a PP terminal (PISW) receives the reference voltage. First and second detection circuits selectively form a PISW circuit (a closed circuit) by a switch. Before the discharging connector is connected to the inlet, the switch is in a position to form the PISW circuit by the first detection circuit. When the discharging connector is connected to the inlet, a power supply (or discharging) current is set based on a PISW potential and the vehicle starts discharging power. When the vehicle starts discharging power, a PWM signal generator operates using power on a voltage line as a power source, and a PWM signal is transmitted to the vehicle via a CP terminal (CPLT). The vehicle continues to discharge power by a power supply current based on the PWM signal.

  • Patent number: 12522101
Abstract: A server manages power balancing resources electrically connected to a power network. The server includes a processor. In response to receipt of input of a travel schedule including a date and time of travel, a departure point, and a destination point from a user of the vehicle, the processor predicts a power supply and demand balance on the power network for the date and time of travel, based on power supply and demand performance information of the power network. In response to prediction that the power supply and demand balance is going to be adjusted on the date and time of travel, the processor provides the user suggestion to keep the vehicle connected to the power equipment on the date and time of travel and a reward for the vehicle responding to a request to adjust the power supply and demand balance.

  • Patent number: 12341367
Abstract: A charging controller carries out charging control of a power storage mounted on a vehicle. The vehicle includes a DC charging inlet. The charging controller carries out first charging control when a charging cable which is not a prescribed charging cable is connected to the DC charging inlet and carries out second charging control when the prescribed charging cable is connected to the DC charging inlet. For example, a time period for ground fault detection carried out during charging of the power storage is set differently between first charging control and second charging control. Alternatively, a response delay margin of a charging command is set differently between first charging control and second charging control.

  • Publication number: 20250178465
Abstract: ECU is a control device for a lock mechanism that fixes a connector such as an AC power supply connector to an inlet of a vehicle. The connector includes an AC powered connector for powering an electric device external to the vehicle. When the lock mechanism is controlled to be switched to the unlocked state while the lock mechanism is in the locked state and the power supply is being performed, the power supply to the external electric device is stopped. ECU controls to switch the lock mechanism to the unlocked state when the first operation (the operation of satisfying the connector unlock condition at the time of non-power supply) is performed during the non-power supply in the locked state, and maintains the locked state of the locking device when the first operation is performed during the power supply in the locked state.

  • Publication number: 20250074239
Abstract: EVSE (electric equipment) externally feeds the power of the battery to the electric load. EVSE externally charges the power of the power grid to the battery. The vehicle-side ECU and ECU are connected by a CPLT signal line. When a short circuit occurs EVSE of the charger/discharger during external power supply or external charge, ECU identifies a short circuit location based on the detected current sensor. Also, from ECU to ECU of the vehicle, information on the point of short circuit is communicated using CPLT signal line.

  • Patent number: 12175491
Abstract: A server manages power adjustment resources electrically connected to a power network. The power adjustment resources include power equipment installed in a facility and configured to supply power from a vehicle to the power network and charge power from the power network to the vehicle. When reservation information for using the facility is received from a user, the server predicts a power supply-demand balance in the power network on a reserved date and time of use of the facility. When a DR for adjusting the power supply-demand balance is predicted to be performed on the reserved date and time of use, the server prepares a use plan for the facility so as to include the vehicle participating in the DR using the power equipment. The server gives an incentive to the user when the user accepts the use plan.
