    Abstract: A display device which displays operation information of an air conditioner in which an outdoor machine including an outdoor heat exchanger and an indoor machine including an indoor heat exchanger are connected. The display device includes a control unit that determines whether or not abnormality occurs in the outdoor machine or the indoor machine when the air conditioner operates, and a display unit which is controlled by the control unit so as to display time information and to display a plurality of operation information display regions for displaying operation information corresponding to the time information, in line. In a case where the control unit determines that the abnormality has occurred in the outdoor machine or the indoor machine, the control unit controls the display unit to display operation information of the outdoor machine or the indoor machine in which the abnormality has occurred, in the operation information display region.

When the operation unit is switched on, the driving source is controlled to increase an up-pushing force on the seat member. A variation rate on the up-pushing force is increased with time to a given value where the lock mechanism is initiated.

    Abstract: According to the invention, in digital television broadcasting by a hierarchical transmission method, even if the receiving condition deteriorates and gives rise to any uncorrectable transmission error in streams, the deterioration of the quality of video and audio signals can be restrained to the minimum. The digital broadcasting receiving apparatus, after separating transmission streams of a plurality of levels into video and audio basic streams, subdivides the data of each stream and detects any error. Data which have been normally decoded are selected according to the relative priority of a designated level macro-block by macro-block or slice by slice for video data and frame by frame for audio data, and video and audio signals are thereby generated. Boundary parts of data of different levels are smoothed.

    Abstract: A carbon-fiber reinforced plastic sheet is excellent in tensile strength and modulus of elasticity, but defective in impact resistance and fracture toughness. To overcome the defect, two aramid fiber reinforced plastic sheets are adhered to the opposite surfaces of the carbon-fiber reinforced plastic sheet to thereby provide a laminated structure and the aramid fibers are skewed at angles of +30.degree. to +60.degree. with respect to the direction of an impact load. This arrangement exhibits an improved shock absorbing efficiency and eliminates surface distortion which would otherwise take place during lamination. Further, a shock-absorbing structure may be produced from combining a plurality of sheets assembled crosswise such that surfaces of the respective sheets lie parallel to the direction of the impact load, and a cutout recess and a bulged portion are formed at an end of at least one sheet adjacent an intersection of the structure.
