    Abstract: A variable valve system for an internal combustion engine includes a drive shaft, a drive cam provided on the drive shaft, a link arm fitted on the outer periphery of the drive cam such as to rotate relative to the drive cam, a crank-shaped control shaft including a main shaft and an eccentric cam, an oscillating arm rotatably attached to the eccentric cam and oscillated by the link arm, and an oscillating cam connected to the oscillating arm via a link rod so as to actuate a valve. Lubricant is communicated from a main lubricant flow path in the drive shaft through three lubricant paths to sliding contact areas between the drive cam and the link arm, between the pin of the oscillating arm and the link arm, and between the eccentric cam and the oscillating arm.

    Abstract: A variable valve driving apparatus of an internal combustion engine, including a drive shaft rotatably supported by a cam bracket, a drive cam disposed about an outer periphery of the drive shaft, a link arm having a first end connected to the drive cam, an oscillating cam extending from the drive cam configured to press and release a drive valve of the engine to open and close the drive valve, a link rod having a first end rotatably connected to the oscillating cam, and a control shaft rotatably supported by the cam bracket. The control shaft includes a main shaft rotatably supported by the cam bracket, an eccentric shaft spaced apart from the main shaft, and a plurality of webs connecting the main shaft and the eccentric shaft. The eccentric shaft is connected to an oscillating arm configured to transfer a drive force of the drive cam.

    Abstract: A valvetrain mechanism of an engine, including a drive shaft configured to rotate in synchronization with the engine, a link arm having a large end and a small end, the drive shaft being inserted into and passed through the large end, a valve lift control shaft disposed parallel to the drive shaft and having an eccentric portion, an oscillating arm disposed rotatably at the eccentric portion of the valve lift control shaft and interconnected with the small end of the link arm via a first rotation support point, a link rod interconnected with the oscillating arm via a second rotation support point positioned at a same side as the first rotation support point with respect to the valve lift control shaft, and an oscillating cam interconnected with the link rod via a third rotation support point and operated correspondingly with an operation of the drive shaft to thereby open a valve.
