  • Patent number: 4174894
Abstract: A TTL metering device in a single lens reflex camera for measuring light passed through the picture-taking objective lens of the camera comprises a light-sensing element for receiving the light passed through the picture-taking objective lens to produce an output corresponding to the intensity of the light, a jump-up mirror having a light-transmitting area through which the light may be transmitted, and diffusion means for permitting the light transmitted through the light-transmitting area of the jump-up mirror to reach the light-sensing element.

  • Patent number: 4171154
Abstract: A TTL metering device in a single lens reflex camera for measuring light passed through the picture-taking objective lens of the camera is disclosed. The TTL metering device comprises a light-sensing element for receiving the light and producing an output corresponding to the intensity thereof, a swing-up mirror rotatably movable between its first and second positions and a light reflecting means disposed behind the swing-up mirror. In order to broaden the distribution of sensitivity of the light-sensing element and also to keep the output thereof optimum, the light reflecting means is particularly designed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 27, 1978
Date of Patent: October 16, 1979
    Assignee: Nippon Kogaku K.K.
    Inventor: Toru Fukuhara
  • Patent number: 4122468
Abstract: In a single lens reflex camera of the TTL metering type comprising a mirror device having a central translucent area containing the optic axis of the picture-taking lens of the camera and a reflecting area surrounding the central translucent area, the mirror device being disposed in intersecting relationship with the optic axis, and a light receiving element disposed behind the mirror device to measure the quantity of light passed through the central area, the central area is so formed that the quantity of light passed through the central area to the light receiving element is varied substantially in proportion to the area of the exit pupil of the picture-taking lens has been stopped down.
