Abstract: There is described a network facsimile apparatus, which makes it possible to quickly complete the transmitting operation of reserved image data whose transmission is temporarily suspended due to the BUSY status of the receiver side, etc. The apparatus, serving as a caller that conducts image data communicating operations with other apparatuses serving as callees based on a Session Initiation Protocol, includes a control section to suspend an operation for transmitting image data to the first callee; a storage section to store the first IP address of the first callee; a network interface control section; and a comparing section to compare the first IP address with the second IP address. When the control section determines that the first IP address and the second IP address coincide with each other, the control section transmits the reserved image data, transmission of which is currently suspended, to the second callee.

The network facsimile apparatus, serving as a caller that establishes a session based on a Session Initiation Protocol to conduct image data communicating operations with other apparatuses serving as a first callee, a second callee and a third callee, comprises: a receiving section to receive a terminal identifying information of the caller, a first terminal identifying information of the first callee and the image data, when the first callee is incapable of receiving the image data sent from the caller; and a display section to display the terminal identifying information of the caller and the first terminal identifying information of the first callee.

Abstract: A network facsimile apparatus for providing session control based on a session control protocol, comprising: a storage section for storing information for identifying the own network facsimile apparatus, and identifying information for identifying a network facsimile apparatus other than the own apparatus; and a registration section for registering proxy destination information in a SIP server arranged on a network, the proxy destination information links the identifying information of the apparatus other than the own apparatus stored in the storage section with the identifying information of own apparatus.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: an image reading device for reading an image of a document to obtain image data; a data communication device connected with a computer for receiving an image data from the computer; a facsimile device connected with a telephone line for receiving an image data through the telephone line; an image memory for storing the image data obtained through the image reading device, the image data obtained through the data communication device, and the image data obtained through the facsimile device; an image memory controller for mediating an access to the image memory in a predetermined priority order for storing and reading the image data among the image reading device, the data communication device, and the facsimile device; and an image forming device for forming the image according to the image data controlled by the image memory controller.
