  • Patent number: 5152521
Abstract: A sheet feed mechanism feeds stimulable phosphor sheets, one by one, from a magazine to an image reading unit in an image reading apparatus. The sheet feed mechanism includes a suction mechanism having a plurality of suction cups for attracting a stimulable phosphor sheet in the magazine. The suction mechanism is movable toward and away from the magazine which stores a stack of stimulable phosphor sheets. A grip roller pair grips and guides a stimulable phosphor sheet, which has been taken out of the magazine by the suction cups, in a predetermined direction. One of the suction cups is supported on an angle which is angularly movable in response to engagement of the stimulable phosphor sheet attracted by the suction cups with the grip roller pair. Another angle, when engaged by the grip roller pair, guides a stimulable phosphor sheet, which has undesirably taken out of the magazine, back into the magazine.

  • Patent number: 4886967
Abstract: A light beam scanning apparatus is provided wherein a sheet such as a stimulable phosphor sheet or photographic material undergoes two dimensional scanning by scanning the sheet with a deflected light beam to perform main scanning, and transferring the sheet in a direction perpendicular to the main scanning direction to perform sub-scanning, using two pairs of rollers synchronously driven to carry the sheet while clamping it therebetween. A sheet support member is located between the roller pairs and provided with at least two apertures in alignment with the main scanning line, and a photoelectric element is disposed in each of the apertures for receiving the light beam transmitted by the aperture, whereby any misalignment of the sheet can be detected.

  • Patent number: 4831461
Abstract: A sheet feed mechanism in a light scanning apparatus includes two pairs of rollers for gripping and feeding a sheet-like medium such as a stimulable phosphor sheet or a photographic film in a subscanning direction. The two pairs of rollers are spaced a distance smaller than the length of the sheet-like medium in the subscanning direction. While the sheet-like medium is being fed by the sheet feed mechanism in the subscanning direction, the sheet-like medium is scanned by a light beam deflected in a main scanning direction substantially normal to the subscanning direction, for thereby two-dimensionally scanning the sheet-like medium.

  • Patent number: 4754292
Abstract: An image recording carrier such a film which falls by gravity from a film magazine is gripped by a roller pair, which is rotated in a direction opposite to the direction in which the image recording carrier is fed toward a scanning unit. The image recording carrier is thus released from the roller pair, and then the image recording carrier is pressed by a presser and positioned in a direction normal to the carrier delivering direction by a positioning member located above the roller pair. Thereafter, the image recording carrier is delivered to the scanning unit. The image recording carrier can always be positioned to establish a stable position to start recording an image on or reading an image from the image recording carrier.

  • Patent number: 4659180
Abstract: A metal mount of a galvanometer is secured to a plate made of an electrically conductive material via a thin insulating layer in electrically insulated relation to the plate. The thin insulating layer has a thickness within the range of about 10 .mu.m to about 500 .mu.m. The metal mount and the thin insulating layer are cylindrical and are secured to a cylindrical through hole formed in the plate. Or, the metal mount has an L-shaped cross-section. One section of the L-shaped metal mount is secured to the plate by use of bolts, and the other section thereof is secured to the galvanometer by use of screws. In this case, an insulation sheet is positioned between the one section of the L-shaped metal mount and the plate.
