  • Patent number: 6655421
Abstract: A weight-based, multiple filler filling machine has a simplified wiring arrangement. The filling machine fills a plurality of bottles with a predetermined amount in weight of an article through associated ones of a plurality of valves. The weight of the article placed in each of the bottles is measured by a load cell. An arithmetic unit is mounted on the surface of or inside each load cell for determining the weight level of the article as measured by that load cell and controlling the associated valve in accordance with the determined weight level.

  • Patent number: 6567692
Abstract: With a very simple arrangement, body composition impedance, which excludes contact impedance between the dermal surface of a patient and each electrode and body distal site surrounding composition impedance, is measured thereby measuring the amount of body fat with high accuracy. Two pairs of electrodes (four electrodes in total) are connected to a constant current circuit through analog switches respectively. The electrodes to which a constant current is applied are sequentially switched by control signals output from an arithmetic operation control unit. By use of output voltage signals from an operational amplifier, a CPU in the arithmetic operation control unit calculates the value of the body composition impedance by removing the contact impedance and the body distal site surrounding composition impedance.

  • Patent number: 5635679
Abstract: In a dynamic weighing device including a weight signal treating filter for measuring the weight of an article while the article is conveyed by a weighing conveyer, a device and a method of automatically determining an optimum time point for reading the weight signal and/or an optimum characteristic of the filter to be used, wherein the weight signal is read and stored plural times between two predetermined time points with and/or without variation of the filter characteristic, this operation is repeated about the same article or a plurality of articles which are substantially same in weight and, thereafter, the reading time point and filter characteristic corresponding to one of the groups of weight measurements of the respective times which gives a minimum dispersion of the weight measurements are selected as the optimum conditions.

  • Patent number: 4972882
Abstract: An automatic weight sorter used with a rotary container filling machine for sorting filled containers by weight. The filling machine has a rotary platform with a plurality of filling stations in which the containers, such as bottles, are supported for filling liquid product dispensed through a filling head at each filling station. The sorter is disposed at the exit end of the filling machine for successively weighing the filled bottles to sort them into predetermined classes of weight. The sorter is provided with an electronic device for storing measured weights for each filling station, calculating average weight for each station, counting the number of the sorted bottles in each class for each filling station, selectively displaying these data on a display screen and generating an alarm when the number of defective product exceeds a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 4928473
Abstract: A kind of automatic rotary weighing and packing machine having a plurality of weighers radially or annularly arranged on a circular rotary table for automatically effecting such processes as filling of product, weighing and judgement at respective positions around the table, which is especially suitable in the case where the product to be packed is sticky granular or powdered bulk material and the packing container is a bag or the like. This machine uses no weigh hopper or bucket in which sticky product is liable to remain to cause weight error, and the packing container is held by a holding mechanism attached to each weigher and directly filled with product, which is then weighed and sealed. A fixed amount feeding device is used for feeding product into the container and its throughput is controlled based upon the result of a subsequent weighment for keeping the weight of product packed in each container always at a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 4832092
Abstract: A weight-operated filling system of rotary type is disclosed which is adapted to detect the weight of a vessel and content thereof by means of Roberval weigher. In such system, the centrifugal force which is applied to the vessel and the content thereof causes a metering error, and accordingly the invention provides a rotation detector which detects the rotation of a rotatable member in which Roberval weigher is mounted. A detection signal from the detector is used to correct for the error to derive a true weight. A filling valve is closed to terminate the filling operation when the true weight reaches a given value.

  • Patent number: 4766966
Abstract: An improved apparatus and method for controlling the rate of feeding product to a weigh hopper or cradle by changing the exit aperture of a feeding device in accordance with a characterized condition so that a predetermined amount or weight of product is fed to the weigh hopper or cradle at high accuracy and within a minimum time. The method is especially useful when used in a combination weighing machine.

  • Patent number: 4709770
Abstract: A device used with a conveyer weigher for automatically correcting dynamic weight signals indicative of the weights of articles successively fed to the weighing conveyer of the weigher at constant intervals, wherein the weight signal of each article is influenced by the "aftereffect" of that of the preceding article, which can automatically change the rate of correction when any article drops out from a regular interval feed line, thereby obtaining the true static weight of each article at any time.
