  • Publication number: 20060107788
Abstract: The present invention provides a metal powder production process capable of efficiently producing a metal at high purity directly from a metal compound, and preferably enables the process to be carried out continuously. The metal powder production process according to the present invention is a process for producing a metal powder by using a metal compound for the raw material and reducing said metal compound, comprising: a molding step in which the metal compound is mixed with a binder, is molded, and is sintered to produce a metal compound feed compact; and, a reducing step in which a metal is formed by reducing the metal compound by contacting the metal compound feed compact with an active metal.

  • Patent number: 7021176
Abstract: In the manufacture of a link plate for a silent chain, a band of sheet steel is intermittently forwarded to string of punching dies and shaving dies. The band tends to follow a slightly curved path, which causes alignment errors in a conventional punching and shaving operation. However, in this case, each shaving die and its corresponding punching die are disposed in symmetrical relationship with respect to an intermediate position along the path of movement of the band, and the intermediate position coincides with the location at which the deviation of the band. As a result, the shaving dies are more accurately aligned with the punched surfaces produced by the corresponding punching dies.

  • Patent number: 6842982
Abstract: By press-fitting a cylindrical blank into a die with one of a pair of punches, and at the same time press-fitting small diameter end portions and tapered portions of the pair of punches into both ends of the cylindrical blank while restraining both end surfaces of the blank with cylindrical members movable on the outsides of the punches, the external circumferential surface of the blank is finish molded to the required diameter by the internal circumferential surface of the die and, at the same time, tapered surfaces are formed on the inner circumferential surface in both ends of the blank. The process produces a bushing with its internal surfaces accurately coaxial, and with the external surface accurately formed to the required diameter.

  • Patent number: 6571473
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a refrigerant tube for a condenser includes forming an inner fin like a band plate having a predetermined length, forming a holder having a substantially V-shaped open section and a predetermined length, inserting the inner fin into the holder from a V-shaped opening of the holder, and pressing the holder to close the V-shaped opening and change the substantially V-shaped open section to a compressed closed section, whereby the inner fin is fixed in the holder.
