  • Patent number: 4843472
Abstract: A processing apparatus emphasizes edges of a video signal which is applied thereto and non-linear relative to density or luminance levels adapted for the reproduction of a video signal. The processing apparatus includes a linear converter for converting the non-linear video signal into a linear video signal. The linear video signal is applied to an edge emphasizing unit to produce a linear edge-emphasized video signal. A non-linear converter is provided for applying non-linear processing to the linear edge-emphasized video signal, whereby a non-linear edge-emphasized video signal is achieved.

  • Patent number: 4802025
Abstract: A video signal circuit performing the function of time base correction has a pair of memories each adapted to store at least one field of video data and a pair of shift registers associated with both memories. The memories are set to the read state and write state alternately. A shift register associated with a memory in its write state receives one unit of video signal data in series in response to a first sync signal to write these data in the associated memory during a portion of the horizontal blanking period specified by the first sync signal. The other shift register associated with the memory in its read state reads another unit of video signal data from the associated memory during a portion of the horizontal blanking period specified by a second sync signal to sequentially produce the read data in synchronism with the second sync signal.

  • Patent number: 4796085
Abstract: An apparatus interpolates color-difference line-sequential signals appearing alternately in a video signal together with a luminance signal. The video signal is received by an input circuit and then held temporarily and on a horizontal scanning line basis by a hold circuit. Each of the color-difference signals is interpolated by an interpolating circuit by producing an arithmetic mean of the color-difference data of the video signal being held by the hold circuit and color-difference data of the video signal being received by the input circuit, on the basis of the pixels corresponding to each other on horizontal scanning lines.

  • Patent number: 4726675
Abstract: Color picture reproduction in which a monochromatic CRT having emissions in the blue, green and red regions successively displays blue, green and red picture signals. The separate color displays are filtered by blue, green and red filters before being imaged on a color print material. The phosphors of the CRT are selected to reduce the blue emissions below the green and red emissions.
