    Abstract: A recording and/or reproducing device for a disk enclosed in a cassette is disclosed. The device is comprised of a chassis, bearing members included in the chassis, a spindle mounted by these bearing members for rotation with respect to the chassis, a magnet holder mounted to the spindle, a rotor magnet mounted to the magnet holder and rotatable with respect to be chassis, a substrate affixed to the chassis, a stator coil mounted in the confronting relation to the rotor magnet on the base board, a turntable mounted to the upper part of the spindle, and a cassette holder mounted on the chassis and which is movable, for mounting the disk cassette to the turntable, between an inoperative position to be assumed when the disk cassette is inserted into or detached from the recording and/or reproducing device and an operative position to be assumed when the disk cassette is mounted on the turntable.

    Abstract: A tape cassette for use with a thermal printing apparatus includes a cassette housing; supply and take-up reels rotatably mounted in the cassette housing; tape having a pigment thereon wound about the supply and take-up reels and having a segment extending between the reels, the length of the segment being adjustable; a hollow projecting portion extending from the cassette housing and having a free end at which a first guide pin is connected; a second guide pin moveably mounted, in a sliding or pivotal relation, with respect to the cassette housing for guiding the segment of tape; and optionally, a tape drawing member to which the second guide pin may be connected and which is moveable with respect to the cassette housing for adjusting the length of the segment of tape.

    Abstract: A manufacturing apparatus for a tape cassette includes: a rotary table having at least one pair of hub chucks for demountably holding a pair of hubs supplied to the rotary table; a mechanism for clamping an initial end of a supplied tape to one of the hubs held by the hub chucks; a tape winding member for winding a predetermined length of the supplied tape onto the one hub; a cutting member for cutting the trailing side of the wound tape on the one hub; another mechanism for clamping the terminal end of the cut tape to the other of the hubs; and an assembling mechanism for transporting the hubs to which the ends of the tape are clamped and on which the tape is wound, to a position adjacent to a mounted cassette half, demounting the hubs from the hub chucks and assembling the hubs into the mounted cassette half.
