  • Patent number: 11931726
Abstract: The invention provides a gold-supporting catalyst comprising gold nanoparticles and a carrier consisting of porous ceramic obtained by firing a mixture comprising an aluminum compound, a lime component, and a plastic clay containing 1% by mass or less of feldspars and quartz, wherein the gold nanoparticles are supported in an amount of 0.01 to 10 parts by mass on the carrier based on 100 parts by mass of the carrier.

  • Patent number: 9705460
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a learning unit which learns sound level manipulation relating to a sound level of a terminal device used by a user based on information relating to the user. The information processing apparatus includes a determination unit which determines a reproduction mode at the time when the terminal device reproduces an audio contained in a content according to a learning result of the learning unit. The information processing apparatus includes a controller which controls an audio contained in the content in the reproduction mode determined by the determination unit.

  • Patent number: 6061609
Abstract: An electrical power distribution monitoring system is provided for a power distribution line having a plurality of sections with a plurality of electrical loads connected to the power distribution line to form a power distribution network. The monitoring system has at least one sensor for at least one present electrical value at least one point of the network, and estimates electrical values for at least one section of the line in dependence on both of present electrical values measured by the sensor and data relating to past power consumption by loads connected to the line. Improved prediction of actual conditions in the distribution line can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 5473445
Abstract: In a high-speed image scanner, a driving method is proposed which needs no timing adjustment between the sensor driving pulse and the motor drive pulse required when the motor shifts from an accelerated state to a constant-speed state. The period of the sensor driving pulse is selected to be equal to or 1/N (N=integer) of that of the motor drive pulse at the time of constant-speed operation, and the phases of the sensor driving pulse and motor drive pulse are controlled independently of each other. Thus, even though the sensor driving pulse and the motor drive pulse are out of good timing, each line of the image can be surely read.

  • Patent number: 5162838
Abstract: A facsimile apparatus has a transparent plate on which a document may be located. The document is then scanned by a scanner which includes electronic solid state light generation means e.g. LEDs which illuminate the document, with the light reflected from the document being detected by a detector. An electronic signal corresponding to an image of the document may then be transmitted to a remote location. Alternately, the facsimile apparatus may be used to copy the document. Cut paper sheets are withdrawn from storage and an image printed thereon by a heat transfer system in which a film of ink is selectively heated. Paper on which an image has been printed is then received on the upper surface of the storage. The facsimile apparatus may also have a document transporter for moving a document past the scanner with the scanner fixed.
