  • Publication number: 20020012716
Abstract: In a resin-sealing mold of a semiconductor device, each of the upper and lower molds is provided with: a first cavity insert for forming a cavity side face portion; a first elastic post for supporting the first cavity insert; an elastic plate, built in the first cavity insert, for forming a cavity bottom portion; a second cavity insert embedded at a position adjacent to the elastic plate on the side opposite to the cavity; a second elastic post for supporting the second cavity insert; a retainer including the first cavity insert and the second cavity insert; and a backing plate to which the first elastic post, the second elastic post and the retainer are attached. It becomes possible to prevent the generation of thin burrs that tend to appear on the periphery of the package and in the vicinity of the cull section, and consequently to provide a resin-sealing mold with high reliability.

  • Patent number: 5973096
Abstract: A process for purifying a polyether, which comprises adding to a polyether (A) containing a first salt, water (B) and a compound (C) which is capable of reacting with an ion constituting the first salt to form a second salt which is essentially insoluble in the polyether (A), then removing water, followed by removing the second salt from the polyether (A).

  • Patent number: 5929292
Abstract: A production method which comprises reacting one or more feedstock compounds to form a desired compound having a boiling point higher than the feedstock compounds, wherein the reaction is carried out under reflux in a distillation column portion of a reactor provided with the distillation column.

  • Patent number: 5832342
Abstract: An image forming machine including a single layer dispersion type photoconductor drum, a charging device for charging the surface of the photoconductor drum to a specific polarity, and a developing roller for conveying a developer to the surface of the photoconductor drum having a latent electrostatic image formed thereon. The photoconductor drum and the developing roller are adapted to contact each other at their surfaces and to be rotationally driven in reverse directions. The photoconductor drum has a diameter set at 10 to 20 mm, while the developing roller has a diameter set at 90 to 110% of the diameter of the photoconductor drum.

  • Patent number: 5828938
Abstract: A transferring device in which a transfer roller having a diameter which is not less than 60% of the diameter of an organic photosensitive drum with a diameter of 10 to 20 mm is arranged with a clearance provided between the transfer roller and the organic photosensitive drum. The transferring device avoids problems such as current leakage and reverse transfer of toner in the case of miniaturization of an image forming apparatus or contamination of the transfer roller, and easily sets a transfer current because an effective transfer current width is large.

  • Patent number: 4871910
Abstract: A method for measuring the size of a wire rod comprises the steps of turning a laser beam from a laser beam source into a parallel beam used for scanning, disposing a first wire rod having an unknown size and a second wire rod having an already known size larger than the diameter of the spot of the laser beam adjacent to each other in a direction of scanning with the laser beam, receiving the laser beam traversed the first and second wire rods thereby generating a corresponding electrical output signal, and calculating the size of the first wire rod on the basis of the electrical output signal.
