Abstract: Aminobenzamide derivatives of the formula (I) ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents a lower alkoxy group,R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower acyl group, a lower alkoxycarbonyl group or --R.sub.5 --SO.sub.3 Z, wherein R.sub.5 represents a lower alkylene group and Z represents an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal,R.sub.4 represents an amino group, a morpholino group or a lower alkylamino group which may be substituted with a hydroxyl group at the alkyl moiety thereof, with the proviso that, when R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom, R.sub.4 cannot be an amino group,Y represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a lower alkoxy group,n represents an integer of from 1 to 6,and salts thereof; are disclosed. These compounds have excellent anti-peptic ulcer activities, and chemical and physical stabilities.

Abstract: N-phenethylacetamide compounds of the formula: ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1 represents a lower alkoxy group, X.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkoxy group and R represents a phenyl group, a pyridyl group, a pyrimidinyl group or a benzoyl group, each of which may have one or more substituents selected from a halogen atom, a carbamoyl group, a lower alkoxy group, a sulfamoyl group, an amino group, a lower alkylamino group, a lower alkylthio group, a hydroxy group and a lower alkoxycarbonyl group; the parmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts and hydrates thereof; as well as the process for preparing such compounds and salts and hydrates thereof; the compounds, their salts and their hydrates having a distinct anti-peptic ulcer activity in human and animals.

Abstract: A compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each represents a member selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and nicotinoyl, with the proviso that R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 do not all simultaneously represent hydrogen, and the nontoxic acid addition salts thereof.

Abstract: Compounds having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is phenyl or cycloalkyl and the phenyl may have at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, amino and nitro; R.sub.2 is hydrogen or lower alkyl; A is --CH.sub.2 O-- or --CH.sub.2 CH(O-lower alkyl)-; n is zero (0) or one (1); when R.sub.1 together with (A).sub.n is unsubstituted phenyl, R.sub.2 is lower alkyl; and R.sub.3 is hydrogen or lower alkoxy, have anti-ulcerous action.
