  • Publication number: 20230333538
Abstract: A process for forming an intermediate or final resin sheet by virtually segmenting a strip-like, extrusion-molded resin sheet into a plurality of individual areas corresponding to intermediate resin sheets. Each individual area is further virtually segmented into segmented areas. Shrinkage rate related information related to shrinkage rate of each segmented area is acquired for each segmented area. When implementing an intermediate processing, processing conditions are corrected for each individual area based on the shrinkage rate related information for each individual area and for each segmented area. The intermediate resin sheet may be heat press processed using heat press processing condition information.

  • Publication number: 20230321886
Abstract: A process management system virtually segments an extruded resin sheet into individual areas associated with several resin sheets. The individual areas are further virtually segmented into segmented areas. Curvature related information related to a curvature after completion of a heat press processing is acquired for each segmented area for each individual area. In a coating condition per area setting process, coating conditions are set for each segmented area for each individual area in accordance with a curvature based on curvature related information of each segmented area for each individual area. In a coating implementing process, a coating is applied to each segmented area for each individual area based on the coating condition.

  • Patent number: 9296143
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a process capable of manufacturing various types of curved members having a high-grade design surface which are used as glazing members for means of transport such as automobiles at a low cost. The present invention is the process of manufacturing a curved member having a high-grade design surface, comprises the steps of: (1) preparing a sheet having a high-grade design surface by injection compression molding a resin material containing a thermoplastic resin; (2) preheating the sheet at a temperature of (Tg+5)° C. to (Tg+70)° C. (Tg(° C.) is the glass transition temperature of the resin material) to soften it; and (3) applying pressure to the softened sheet to curve the high-grade design surface.

  • Patent number: 7041247
Abstract: In an injection compression-molding apparatus, a molded article is produced by setting molds 10 and 11 to an intermediate clamped state, and then by setting the molds 10 and 11 to a final clamped state by re-clamping the molds 10 and 11 to each other after injecting melted resin into a cavity defined by the molds 10 and 11. The apparatus includes a clamping mechanism and a parallelism retaining mechanism 20. The clamping mechanism has a mold-driving cylinder 7 for moving the movable mold 10 toward and away from the fixed mold 11, a guide engaging member 8, support panels 4, 5, etc. so as to selectively set the molds 10 and 11 to the intermediate clamped state and the final clamped state. The parallelism retaining mechanism 20 retains parallelism between the molds 10 and 11 in the intermediate clamped state by giving a corrective force to mold attaching surfaces of the clamping mechanism where the respective molds 10 and 11 are mounted.
