  • Patent number: 7488528
Abstract: There is provided a fixing belt that has sufficient fixing performance even at high sheet-feeding speeds of 100 ppm or more, does not cause offset even with respect to color toners, produces glossy high-quality images at the level of photograph image quality, and has high durability such that mechanical strength or image quality can hardly be reduced during continuous operation. The color image fixing belt of the invention is characterized by being made of a polyimide resin and has an inner diameter of no less than 300 mm, and the outer circumference surface of the belt has a surface roughness (Rz) of 1 ?m or less.

  • Patent number: 6281324
Abstract: A semiconductive belt comprising a polyimide film having a volume resistivity of 109 &OHgr;cm to 1016 &OHgr;cm and a surface resistivity of 1010 &OHgr; to 1017 &OHgr; at 25° C. and 60% RH, wherein the amount of change of the surface resistivity between 30° C. and 85% RH and 10° C. and 15% RH in terms of common logarithm being is 1.0 or smaller.

  • Patent number: 5411779
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composite tubular article for use as the fixing belt in an image-forming device such as a copying machine etc., particularly as a fixing belt suited for thermal fixing, and also relates to a process for producing the same.Conventionally known as an image-fixing belt is a belt consisting of a polyimide resin as the inner layer and a fluoroplastic as the outer layer. However, this fixing belt has problems that clear images cannot be obtained because the thickness of each layer is uneven, and that unglossed, so-called matt images cannot be obtained because the belt surface is smooth. This invention provides a composite tubular article comprising a tubular inner layer made of a polyimide resin and a tubular outer layer made of a fluoroplastic, the outer circumferential surface of the fluoroplastic tubular outer layer having a surface roughness of 1 to 10 .mu.m.

  • Patent number: 4666782
Abstract: A vulcanized rubber article which comprises a vulcanized rubber layer, and non-porous and homogenized thermoplastic polyurethane layer(s) having an average thickness of 0.02-1.0 mm on at least one surface of the vulcanized rubber layer, said polyurethane layer(s) being integrally fused to the vulcanized rubber and the peeling strength between the rubber layer and the polyurethane layer being at least 1.2 kg/cm, and a process for production thereof. The article simplifies the process for production of shoes and makes the control of the process of production readily, and provide a final production having an excellent flexibility, flexing resistance, friction resistance, oil resistance, cleavage resistance against ozone and the like.

  • Patent number: 4028161
Abstract: A sheet material having leather-like grain, excellent scuffing and abrasion resistance and superior dyeability comprising in combination, a substrate, and intermediate layer of 0.05 to 2.5 mm thickness consisting of a finely napped porous polymer bonded to said substrate and an upper layer consisting of a polymeric coating of thickness ranging from 1-100 microns. In typical embodiments, the upper layer may be a polymeric coating material such as linear or cross-linked polyurethanes, the intermediate layer may be a porous polyester, polyamide, vinyl or elastomeric polymer, e.g. a polyurethane, and the substrate may be a woven or non-woven fabric. In preparation of this sheet material, the intermediate layer is pressed and condensed to about 10 to 90% to a density of from about 0.20 to 0.50 g/cc.
