  • Publication number: 20110299592
Abstract: The present invention relates to a moving image data compressing method that enables improvement of the efficiency of compressing moving images and reduction in the processing load due to JPEG 2000 system. In the compressing method, in sequentially compressing, according to JPEG 2000, image frames that are disposed along a time axis without compressing the image frames in the time axis direction, a process of detecting movement of image elements is performed prior to EBCOT, with one or more code blocks, each of which being a minimum processing unit of the EBCOT, as one detection unit. While EBCOT is performed for each of code blocks that constitute a detection unit on which movement has been detected, EBCOT is skipped and predetermined data is supplemented for each of code blocks that constitute a detection unit on which movement has not been detected. Thus, the number of times of processing by EBCOT with a large computation amount can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7983497
Abstract: This invention relates to a coding method for motion-image data and others effective in a special interactive environment for transmitting motion-image data with information concentrated on only a partial region of a display image as in a two-way interactive system implementing real-time two-way interaction. The coding method involves dividing an image frame forming motion-image data into a plurality of rectangular regions, and grouping each of these rectangular regions into a preset ROI and a non-ROI. These rectangular regions are sequentially compressed so that a code length of a rectangular region grouped into the ROI is larger than a code length of a rectangular region grouped into the non-ROI, thereby generating coded data of each image frame.

  • Publication number: 20100128923
Abstract: The present invention relates to an image processing method and image inspecting method with high versatility which enable efficient and highly accurate proof of authenticity of a digital image. The image processing method subjects at least a part of a digital image which can exist temporarily or continuously in a falsification-vulnerable environment, to a first morphology operation using a predetermined structuring element, to process the digital image. The image inspecting method subjects the digital image thus processed, to a second morphology operation using the same structuring element as in the first morphology operation. The morphology operations have the idempotent and the presence or absence of falsification can be detected by determining identity of images before and after the second morphology operation.

  • Publication number: 20100020966
Abstract: The present invention relates to an encryption key generating method ensuring resistance to collusion attacks and achieving reduction in a key length of encryption keys corresponding to respective hierarchies of each scalability. In the encryption key generating method, an encryption key (K2,2) corresponding to data in the lowest hierarchies of hierarchical scalabilities (R, L) is divided as a master key by the number of hierarchies in scalability (R). Key element matrices (M1-M3) generated with respective split keys (eR2, eR1, eR3) are assigned operation data successively obtained by repeating a hash operation with a one-way hash function, so as to maintain hierarchical nature of scalability (L). Partial keys (K1,1-K2,2) corresponding to respective hierarchies of the scalabilities (R, L) are generated by combining key elements coordinately consistent among the key element matrices (M1-M3).

  • Patent number: 7064276
Abstract: A communication cable having a communication wire and an armor including at least two synthetic resin layers, and protects the communication wire in a loose state. The communication wire protecting tube includes at least two synthetic resin layers, and inserts the communication wire in a loose state. The most hard resin layer of the armor has a crosswise or spiral annular groove or cut portion continuous in the longitudinal direction to reach the radially inner face, and the outermost layer of the armor is formed of a protective layer made of a softer resin than the hard resin layer. The adjoining edge portions of the annular groove or the cut portion come, when the communication wire is to be bent, into contact with each other so that it may be prevented from being bent to a predetermined or smaller bend radius.

  • Patent number: 6964525
Abstract: An optical connector according to the present invention has a ferrule body provided with a fiber positioning hole, a pair of guide holes into which guide pins are inserted, and a connecting end face in which ends of the fiber positioning hole and guide holes open. A chamfer portion equivalent to a part of a surface of a body of revolution is formed at each guide hole on the connecting end face side. Further, the connecting end face is formed at an angle relative to a plane normal to the center axes of the pair of guide holes. In this structure, the slope of the connecting end face can suppress degradation of connection loss, and the provision of the chamfer portions can facilitate insertion of the guide pins, prevent damage of the connecting end face due to the guide pins, and also suppress degradation of connection loss due to the damage.
