  • Patent number: 5944563
Abstract: A compliant electrical connector for press-fit connection in a plated through-hole in a printed circuit board. The connector is stamped with a notch, and has a press-in section with a trapezoidal cross-section, with the width of an upper surface with the notch being longer than that of lower surface. The connector includes a coupling section, smoothly connects the press-in section and a lead-in section, and a shoulder which assists in positioning the connector into the through-hole. The connector can be simply manufactured and miniaturized, and is suitable for use with high density printed circuits with high density, and compliance can be guaranteed even in a case where the inner diameter of the through-hole is small.

  • Patent number: 5834833
Abstract: An electrical component has a chip body made of resin, and a metallic pattern including a plurality of terminals to be bonded to a printed circuit, a plurality of interconnects extending on the top surface and connected to the terminals. The chip body has a plurality of small thickness region each corresponding to one of the interconnects. Each of the small thickness regions can be selectively broken after bonding the chip body onto a printed circuit board by a thrusting tool for disconnection. The chip body can provide a desired function of the electronic circuit after fabrication of an electronic device.

  • Patent number: 5283713
Abstract: The grip of a plug-in module according to the present invention is rotatably supported on the upper side of a circuit board. A first end portion of the grip includes a convex portion which engages with a recessed portion in the housing to prevent the plug-in module from being dislodged from the housing by vibrations or the like. When the first and second engaging end are disengaged and the grip is rotated, a protruding end on one side of the grip abuts and applies pressure to the upper end of the housing to assist in removing the plug-in module from the housing. In addition, the above-described protruding end and an additional protruding end on the other side of the grip may be grasped by a robot to allow insertion or removal of the plug-in module by a robot.
