Patent number: 9569914Abstract: A slot machine includes a display on which symbols are rearranged in partitioned regions arranged in a matrix pattern including a plurality of columns and rows. The display includes a plurality of display windows corresponding to the respective columns for each unit game. In each of the display windows, for each slot game, executed is video display in which a symbol array having a plurality of symbols arranged therein is scrolled in an arrangement direction of the symbols. By this video display, the symbols arranged in the partitioned regions are rearranged in the slot game. When a feature game trigger is established during the slot game, an additional “WILD” symbol is inserted into the symbol array. The symbols in each symbol array have background images, respectively. The background images of a predetermined number of consecutive symbols immediately upstream of the “WILD” symbol are displayed in a predetermined color, and the background images of the other symbols are displayed in a normal color.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2009Date of Patent: February 14, 2017Assignee: ARUZE GAMING AMERICA, INC.Inventors: Ryohei Kono, Yoshinari Mitani, Toshiaki Ohkubo, Shigeki Hayashi, Hiroki Abe, Takanori Sakata

Patent number: 9378625Abstract: A slot machine has a display on which symbols are rearranged in partitioned regions arranged in multiple columns and rows. The display has multiple display windows corresponding to the respective columns for each unit game. In each of the display windows, symbols are rearranged by executing video display in which a symbol column having multiple symbols is scrolled in an arrangement direction of the symbols. When a symbol rearranged in at least one partitioned region in at least one of the symbol columns already stopped from scrolling forms a pattern just before winning combination establishment in which the rearranged symbol requires a specific symbol in at least one other symbol column in scrolling, a passing sound of the specific symbol is outputted from a speaker in synchronization with a timing at which the specific symbol in the symbol column in scrolling passes through the display window.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2009Date of Patent: June 28, 2016Assignee: ARUZE GAMING AMERICA, INC.Inventors: Taihei Abe, Koutarou Moriyama, Toshiaki Ohkubo, Shigeki Hayashi, Yuka Hotta, Tsuyoshi Ohira, Hiroki Abe, Takanori Sakata

Patent number: 8571073Abstract: An apparatus for mapping multiple lower-speed signal transmission frames to a higher-speed signal transmission frame. The apparatus includes buffers configured to buffer the lower-speed signal transmission frames, determination units configured to determine frequency justification information for the lower-speed signal transmission frames, a barrel shifter configured to receive signals output from the buffers, and a controller configured to control the barrel shifter to map the lower-speed signal transmission frames to the higher-speed signal transmission frame based on external settings for the respective lower-speed signal transmission frames and the frequency justification information determined by the determination units. When the minimum unit of the lower-speed signal transmission frames is a channel, the number of the buffers and the number of the determination units correspond to the maximum number of channels that can be multiplexed in the higher-speed signal transmission frame.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2012Date of Patent: October 29, 2013Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Toshiaki Ohkubo, Toru Katagiri, Hiroyuki Honma, Hiromichi Makishima, Hiroyuki Kitajima

Publication number: 20090104972Abstract: A slot machine executes a special effect process when a predetermined condition is satisfied. In the special effect process, a main CPU changes a display style of a stopped multi symbol from a first display style to a second display style, while displaying an effect character image on a variable display portion. Further, the effect character image is displayed while being overlapped with a part of symbol display areas, while maintaining a state in which most of figures of stopped symbols can be seen.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2008Publication date: April 23, 2009Applicant: ARUZE CORP.Inventors: Takehisa ITAGAKI, Masahiko KONISHI, Syunichiro KURIHARA, Hiroyuki YAMADA, Toshiaki OHKUBO

Patent number: 6245308Abstract: This invention relates to a method for decreasing sulfuric acid and sulfuric anhydride present in combustion exhaust gas which comprises adding an SO3-decreasing agent (hydrogen gas) to combustion exhaust gas and thereby reducing sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and sulfuric anhydride (SO3) present in the combustion exhaust gas, as well as a combustion exhaust gas flow system therefor. Thus, this invention provides a method for decreasing sulfuric acid and sulfuric anhydride present in combustion gas which can prevent the occurrence of troubles (e.g., low-temperature corrosion and ash deposition) arising from H2SO4 and S3 contained in combustion gas.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 1999Date of Patent: June 12, 2001Assignee: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Kikuo Tokunaga, Yuichi Fujioka, Toshimitsu Ichinose, Toshiaki Ohkubo, Masashi Hishida, Yoshiyuki Wakabayashi, Katsuyuki Ueda
