  • Patent number: 4571338
Abstract: Method for preparation of milk shake beverage contained in can, bottle, paper carton or the like with a sufficient head space so that when shaking the container desirable volume of foam is obtained. Guar gum, kappa carrageenan and xanthan gum, which are well known as stabilizer for such beverage, are added to liquid mixture in the respectively specified amount ratio so as to make it possible to sterilize at a temperature of 135.degree. to 150.degree. C. for 2 to 5 seconds for long shelf life without causing undesirable coagulation and decreasing volume of foam.

  • Patent number: 4258934
Abstract: A seat belt tensioning device which restrains the passenger and absorbs his kinetic energy at an urgent time such as upon an impact of a vehicle. A piston is slidably disposed within a cylinder so as to move in only one direction. Return stop means prevents the piston from moving in an opposite direction. A metallic deformable member is disposed within a cavity of the piston, one end of the member being fixed to the piston, the other end thereof being connected to a seat belt. Piston operating means moves the piston within the cylinder at an urgent time and tensions the seat belt to restrain the passenger. When the tension force applied to the seat belt exceeds the deforming stress value of the metallic deformable member, the member is plastically deformed and the seat belt is drawn out of the cylinder to absorb the kinetic energy of the passenger.

  • Patent number: 4072323
Abstract: A passive seat belt device for a motor-vehicle occupant has at least a shoulder belt which is secured at its one end to the inner, side upper wall portion of a compartment of the vehicle and used for binding the breast portion of the occupant. A drive mechanism is provided for automatically bringing the seat belt in tightening and releasing positions for the occupant in response to the opening and closing operations of a door of the vehicle. A support secured to the inner, side wall portion of said compartment on the side of said secured one end of said shoulder belt guides the shoulder belt in a manner to keep the shoulder belt apart from the neck portion of said occupant.
