  • Publication number: 20090201521
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a data recording unit to store a misregistration amount of a scanning line from an ideal scanning line when a plurality of laser beams is scanned in a main scanning direction, a calculation unit to calculate a shape of the scanning line based on the misregistration amount stored, and to determine a scanning line curvature cancellation curve which cancels misregistration of the calculated shape of the scanning line, and an image forming unit to form an image that reflects the scanning line curvature cancellation curve by shifting image data which is read out from a memory unit in a sub scanning direction according to the scanning line curvature cancellation curve. The image forming unit corrects the amount of misregistration which is smaller than a main scanning line interval by adjusting a transfer point at which the image data is shifted in the sub scanning direction.

  • Patent number: 5600223
Abstract: A novel battery case for a portable terminal unit includes a first battery storage case monolithically integrated with the basic body of the portable terminal unit for accommodating two batteries within an opening thereof, the batteries being arrayed in parallel in one step. A second battery storage case in which two batteries can be set within an opening thereof, the batteries being arrayed in parallel in a separate step, is also provided. The second storage case can be mounted onto the basic body of the portable terminal unit so that the opening of the first battery storage case will be opposite to the opening of the second battery storage case.

  • Patent number: 5390132
Abstract: A distributed control system comprising a control station and a remote input/output device interconnected by a bus, wherein the system is provided with a continuation transmission service which first transmits an urgent output only and then performs cyclic scan transmission; an initialization start transmission service which first performs cyclic scan transmission for input only; an interruption duration measuring feature which measures the period of transmission interruption; and a control feature which activates the continuation transmission service when the result of the measurement is shorter than a predetermined period of time, and which activates the initialization start transmission service when the result of the measurement is longer than the predetermined period of time. Thus, for example, after a power supply failure, the system can rapidly recover and shift to normal process controlling operation without the delays normally experienced by prior control systems.

  • Patent number: 4727969
Abstract: A viscous fluid coupling used as a cooling fan for automobile engines, having a power output member divided into two water chambers by a partition. The refluxing of water between the two chambers are controlled by a valve which opens the first hole of the partition by being associated with a bimetal that operates by detecting the temperature of the air passing through the radiator and opens the second hole of the partition by being associated with a thermostat that operates by detecting the temperature of the water in the water pump, thereby effecting the accurate control of the rotation speed of the fan.

  • Patent number: 4687132
Abstract: An automotive vehicle engine having a coolant circulation system with a radiator, a fan, and a thermostatic valve for controlling coolant flow through the radiator. This thermostatic valve starts to open at a first temperature, is fully opened at a second temperature, and is partly opened at an intermediate third temperature. A system for coupling the fan to a rotation engine member includes: a first member rotationally coupled to the rotating member; a second member rotationally coupled to the fan; and a mechanism for providing rotational coupling between the first and second members. The degree of rotational coupling is lower when a first control valve is closed than opened, and is lower when a second control valve is closed than opened.
