  • Publication number: 20070050491
Abstract: The purpose of the invention is to provide a distributed cache system applicable to a large-scale network having multiple cache servers. In a distributed cache system including multiple cache control servers, the content information is divided and managed by each cache control server. When content requested from a client is stored in the distributed cache system, a cache cooperation router forwards the content request to the cache control server which manages the information of the requested content. A cache control server has a function to notify its own address to the distributed cache system when the cache control server is added to the distributed cache system. When a cache control server receives the notification, it sends content information to the new cache control server and synchronizes the content information. Thus, a cache control server can be added to the system with ease.

  • Publication number: 20070047468
Abstract: A packet communication device, which provides a modular node capable of setting up the operation of the node at a time without updating a program in the node body when a new functional module is installed, sends a process setting content, requested by a configuration file specified by a manager, to functional modules as an offering message and determines whether or not the functional modules can process the content of the offering message. Based on the answers of offering, a configuration processing program of a node determines a functional module, to which processing it to be assigned, according to a predetermined method.

  • Patent number: 7173588
Abstract: In a liquid crystal display device in which picture elements are arranged in a matrix form, a fixed time before a display data voltage is supplied to the picture element by a data line and a scan line, a pre-write voltage at a gradation value having a high speed of response to a change in gradation is supplied to the picture element regardless of the gradation value of a picture after response. When the display data voltage is supplied to the picture element, the pre-write voltage is always supplied to the picture element to thereby increase the response speed of liquid crystal constituting the liquid crystal display device regardless of the gradation value of a picture after response, so as to display quickly a picture on a display section.

  • Publication number: 20060139289
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a panel having pixel electrodes arranged at intersections of a plurality of signal lines via switching elements for transmitting display data and a plurality of scanning lines for transmitting control signals, and a control circuit for controlling the panel. The liquid crystal panel is divided into first pixel regions and second pixel regions adjacent to the first pixel regions. The control circuit carries out impulse driving in which the control signals transmitted to each of the scanning lines are activated two times in one frame period for displaying an image. The control circuit writes the display data in either one of the pixel regions and writes reset data in the other pixel regions when the control signals are activated once of the two times. By writing the reset data in the pixel regions, the display data written in an immediately preceding frame are reset.

  • Publication number: 20060055648
Abstract: A combination of a bright and dark display pattern and a polarity pattern is used to drive a liquid crystal display device. In the bright and dark display pattern, bright display picture elements and dark display picture elements alternate with each other every one picture element in horizontal and vertical directions. In the polarity pattern, positive-polarity picture elements and negative-polarity picture elements alternate with each other every two picture elements in the horizontal and vertical directions. This driving method allows preventing a phenomenon in which a screen becomes whitish when viewed from any oblique angle (i.e., washing out), that is, what the effect of HT technique based on time division is aiming at, while preventing the occurrence of flicker and burn-in on the screen. Moreover, the driving method enables coarseness-free excellent display, because the bright display picture elements and the dark display picture elements alternate with each other every one picture element.

  • Publication number: 20060004991
Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a configuration memory for storing configuration data, an arithmetic unit whose circuit configuration can be reconfigured in accordance with the configuration data, and a fixed value memory for storing fixed value data to be supplied to the arithmetic unit. Since the configuration data and fixed value data to be supplied to the arithmetic unit are stored in the different memories, no data area for storing the fixed value data need be set in the configuration memory. This makes it possible to supply a predetermined fixed value to the arithmetic unit by storing only information for reading out fixed value data from the fixed value memory.
