  • Patent number: 5325248
Abstract: A rotary head assembly has a first positioning surface and a second positioning surface provided in a rotary yoke. The first positioning surface contacts an end surface of a rotor of a rotary transformer. The second positioning surface contacts an outer peripheral surface of the rotor of the rotary transformer. A rotary yoke is fixed on the rotor by magnetic force by a motor. The rotary yoke is positioned by the first positioning surface in a thrust direction, and by the second positioning surface in a radial direction. Thus, the rotary yoke can be easily and precisely attached.

  • Patent number: 5311375
Abstract: A recording head arrangement is disclosed which may be employed in a video signal recording and/or reproducing device in which a video tape is helically wound on a drum carrying recording heads for recording and/or reproducing a video signal. The video signal is divided for representing upper and lower half images on a screen. The recording head arrangement includes first and second heads mounted on the drum adjacent each other. The first and second heads have the same azimuth angle which is inclined in a first direction with respect to a direction perpendicular to the head advancing direction. Third and fourth heads are mounted on the drum 180 degrees spaced from the first and second heads, respectively. The third and fourth heads have the same azimuth angle which is inclined in a second direction, opposite to the first direction.

  • Patent number: 5175630
Abstract: An apparatus for selectively recording a baseband signal and a MUSE signal on a magnetic tape and for reproducing them at different speeds including: a magnetic head circuit having first and second groups of heads provided separately form each other. Each of the head groups includes four rotary heads for consecutively and helically scanning the tape to record and reproduce the baseband and MUSE signals.

  • Patent number: 5136437
Abstract: A video signal recording/reproducing apparatus with two groups of rotary heads which respectively include one main head and two auxiliary heads is set forth. The apparatus includes a head switching device for switching one of the two auxiliary heads into operation according to input video signals and a tape speed switching device for switching the running speed of a video tape according to the input video signals. The apparatus permits the video signal recording/reproducing of both video signals having a wide band and a narrow band. The apparatus also defines an effective tape wrap angle wherein the position of head switching is removed from a screen so that the division of images within the screen is avoidable and so that noise bars produced in the boarders of these images do not appear even in the case of special reproduction.

  • Patent number: 4455127
Abstract: An ink liquid supply system for an ink jet system printer includes an ink liquid reservoir for containing ink liquid therein, and a compact size plunger pump for supplying the ink liquid to a nozzle. The compact size plunger pump integrally includes three pressure chambers defined by coaxially connected pistons. The pistons are driven to reciprocate by a plunger associated with an electro-magnetic solenoid. The first pressure chamber functions to introduce the ink liquid from the ink liquid reservoir and develop the ink liquid toward the nozzle. The third pressure chamber functions to introduce an ink liquid collected by a beam gutter of the ink jet system printer for returning the ink liquid to the ink liquid reservoir. The second pressure chamber functions as a damper for decelerating the shift movement of the pistons and plunger, thereby reducing the shock which will be created when the plunger is attracted by the electromagnetic solenoid.

  • Patent number: 4388630
Abstract: An ink liquid supply system for an ink jet system printer includes a constant flow rate pump and a pressure accumulator for removing a pressure pulsation or ripple created by the constant flow rate pump. In order to stabilize the constant flow rate operation and to shorten the preparation period of the system when the system operation is started, a temperature compensation or sensitive system is provided for varying the ink liquid pressure within the pressure accumulator. The temperature compensation system includes a bimetal element for varying the pressure to be applied to a resilient member included in the pressure accumulator. The pressure adjusting operation is continuously conducted even when the ink jet system printer does not operate.

  • Patent number: 4315322
Abstract: In an improved system for loading new microfiches, or updating previously stored microfiches, in a microfilm cassette library; a registration mode is provided whereby a keyboard operator can register keyword a and other index information for specific frames while these microimages are concurrently being projected on a viewing screen. Structures are included for receivingand holding fiches or cassettes being registered, for positioning frames for optical projection, and for reading magnetically encoded fiche identity data. Both buffer memory and file memory means are provided for storage of frame address information including cartridge identity, microfiche identity, X and Y axes coordinates, and other index data. Microcomputer means are provided for overall control of the registration of new fiches and for retrieval of same.
