    Abstract: A molding resin composition comprising 99.9 to 50% by weight of polyimide represented by the formula: ##STR1## and 0.1 to 50% by weight of polyether ketone resin and/or polyester resin, and more particularly comprising the polyester resin capable of forming an anisotropical molten phase at a temperature of 420.degree. C. or less, and a polyimide-based molding resin composition which comprises the said resins and other additives such as phenolic resin, fluororesin, graphite, carbon fibers, aromatic polyamide fibers, potassium titanate fibers and a crystallization accelerator, and is excellent in thermal resistance, chemical resistance, mechanical strength and processability.

    Abstract: A method of converting a field of a regenerative signal in a VTR is provided wherein when image is reproduced at a nonstandard play speed, field data of a predetermined field number is formed using an inter-field signal with respect to a still part, and field data of a predetermined number is formed using only an inter-line signal with respect to a moving part; with respect to a carrier chrominance signal of a different field which will be interlaced, a signal processing is performed in such a way that when composite video signals are inputted in a normal direction, a phase is inverted, while when the composite video signals are inputted in a reverse direction, the phase is not inverted; and when abnormality occurs in an input state of the composite video signals, field data of a predetermined field number is formed using only the inter-line signal.

    Abstract: In an ultrasonic imaging apparatus, an object to be inspected is scanned while being irradiated by a generated ultrasonic beam. Echo signals from the object are received and a plane image and a cross-sectional image formed from the received echo signals are displayed. A marker indicating the focus position of the ultrasonic beam and a marker indicating the setting range of a detection gate are synthesized and displayed on the cross-sectional image. The plane image of the portion assigned by the focus position and the depth range on the cross-sectional image is obtained.

    Abstract: A heat-sensitive recording material comprises a heat-sensitive color forming layer which is formed on a supporter and contains a colorless or light color leuco dyestuff as a color forming substance, a developer which develops color of the leuco dyestuff by reaction with it when heated and a sensitizer. The developer is 2,4'-dihydroxydiphenylsulfone having purity of 97 weight % or more and prepared by washing and drying crystal which is obtained by dissolving crude 2,4'-dihydroxydiphenylsulfone in an alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or in a mixture of an alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and water by heating and then cooling the solution or partially removing the solvent from the solution by distillation. The heat-sensitive recording material has excellent properties, such as reduced fog and excellent image preservation (weatherability).

    Abstract: Ultrasonic apparatus that automatically adjusts the focus of ultrasonic waves to a desired depth within an object includes an ultrasonic probe which irradiates a focused ultrasonic beam onto an object to be inspected and a receiver which receives ultrasonic waves reflected from the object. A desired focusing depth is set and the inherent focal length of the probe and the velocity of sound within the object are detected to evaluate a distance between the probe and the object at which the focus of the probe coincides with the desired depth. The distance between the probe and the object is adjusted to coincide with the evaluated distance.

C., and mechanical components made of desired one of the fiber-reinforced resins which are suitable for use in internal combustion engines or auxiliary equipment.

    Abstract: A motion detecting device comprises an encoder for generating two signals of A phase and B phase, 90.degree. out of phase with each other, when a member being measured is subject to an inclination or swaying. A pulse generation section generates a positive pulse or a negative pulse, depending on the direction of the inclination, at each of the leading and trailing edges of the A phase and B phase signals. An up/down counter counts up or down the positive or negative pulses, respectively, and an inclination detection section outputs an inclination generation signal when the member being measured is sufficiently inclined, in either a positive or negative direction, so as to cause a counter value to be above a first set value or below a second set value.

    Abstract: Ultrapure water are produced and used by subjecting deionized water, which has been obtained from a deionization step making use of an ion-exchange resin, successively to a sterilization treatment, an activated carbon treatment, an ion-exchange resin treatment and a permeable membrane treatment. The water is fed from each of the steps of the treatments after at least the sterilization tretment (inclusive) to the next step through first piping made of a crystalline polyether ether ketone resin having a recurring unit of the following formula: ##STR1## The thus-produced ultrapure water is then fed through second piping, which is also made of the crystalline polyether ether ketone resin, to and through a use system of the ultrapure water.
