  • Publication number: 20020140502
Abstract: An RF variable gain amplifying device has an amplifying circuit, a switch element connected in parallel with the amplifying circuit, and a resistor connected in parallel with the amplifying circuit and with the switch element. The amplifying circuit does not operate when the switch element is in the ON state but operates when the switch element is in the OFF state. A potential at each of the input and output terminals of the switch element is lower when the switch element is in the ON state than when the switch element is in the OFF state.

  • Patent number: 6441692
Abstract: The invention provides a high-speed PLL frequency synthesizer in which the frequency of a reference signal can be made larger than a frequency interval of an external output with a simple configuration. An n-th harmonic of an output of a voltage-controlled oscillator is caused to pass through a band pass filter. The frequency of an output of the band pass filter is divided by M in a variable frequency divider. The phase of an output of the variable frequency divider is compared with that of the reference signal in a phase comparator. An output of the phase comparator is smoothed by a loop filter. The output of the voltage-controlled oscillator is controlled by an output of the loop filter. The fundamental wave of the output of the voltage-controlled oscillator is caused to pass through another band pass filter, and then output to the outside. At this time, the frequency of the reference signal is n times a frequency interval of the fundamental wave of the output of the voltage-controlled oscillator.

  • Publication number: 20020061086
Abstract: A fraction part control circuit of a frequency synthesizer apparatus including a PLL circuit is of a plural-n-th-order delta-sigma modulator circuit for controlling a fraction part of a number of frequency division to a variable frequency divider of the PLL circuit. An adder adds data of the fraction part to output data from a multiplier, and outputs resultant data to a quantizer through a second-order integrator. The quantizer quantizes input data with a quantization step, and outputs the quantized data to the multiplier through a feedback circuit. The quantized data is used as data of the controlled fraction part. The multiplier multiplies data from the feedback circuit by the quantization step, and outputs resultant data to the adder. The fraction part control circuit periodically changes the data of the fraction part, thereby setting a frequency of an output signal from a VCO according to average data of the period.

  • Patent number: 6278235
Abstract: A back electrode (6), linear hot cathodes (7) as electron beam sources, and an electrode unit (8) are placed on and fixed to a rear case (4). On the other hand, wire electrodes (9) fixed to a grid frame (10) are positioned relative to stripes of a phosphor screen (2) and are then placed on and fixed to a supporting frame (11) placed in a front case (3) using stud pins (21). According to such a configuration, when the front case and the rear case are bonded and are thus fixed, the position shift between the phosphor screen (2) and the wire electrodes (9) can be suppressed within a tolerance. As a result, a flat-type display apparatus that can display excellent images can be provided.

The output signal of the modulator 111 is inputted to the transmitted frequency converter 112, to be converted to the frequency of a transmitted signal by the output signal of the first local oscillator 102. When the radio circuit apparatus is receiving, the output signal of the low noise amplifier 121 is inputted to the first frequency converter 122 to be converted to the first intermediate frequency by the output signal of the first local oscillator 102.

  • Patent number: 5581148
Abstract: A novel electrode unit includes a plurality of linear cathodes and a plurality of flat-shaped electrodes. Each of the electrodes has a plurality of identification holes. The relative positional relationship of the identification holes is uniform with regard to each of the electrodes. However, the positions of the identification holes are shifted from those of adjacent electrodes by a predetermined interval so that a line connecting centers of the ID holes is parallel or perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the linear cathodes when the electrodes are piled up and evenly aligned. The identification holes allow the electrodes to be accurately positioned with respect to each other when assembling the electrodes into the electrode unit. Each of the electrodes also includes a temporary fixing part at an area indented from an outer circumference of the electrode. During assembly of an electrode unit, the temporary fixing part is fixed to a temporary fixing part of an adjacent electrode via a spacer.
