Abstract: In an image forming method and apparatus, a starting point location is acquired for carrying out rasterization of a subfile by interpreting a page descriptive language in the subfile, which is contained in a page print information file, and region size information for forming an image is also acquired from the subfile. Further, any non-interpretable description in the subfile is detected, and when a non-interpretable description is detected in the subfile, a predetermined image is formed at a predetermined position specified by either the starting point location or the starting point location and the region size information.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus and an image processing method which perform image processing for drawing information which includes image information and color correction information are provided. The image processing apparatus according to the invention includes a first conversion component which converts a predetermined first color component value in a color space applied by the drawing information into a second color component value in a different color space while being corrected by the color correction information, a decision component which determines whether the second color component value is a value falling within a predetermined range or not, and a second conversion component which performs conversion of color components used in image drawing based on the drawing information into a single color corresponding to the range.

Abstract: A profile delivery system receives and stores a target profile indicating the color characteristics of a printing device of the print system from a print system. A user system generates a device link profile used for obtaining the same output image as that of the printing device of the print system, in the printer of the user system, by receiving the target profile provided from the profile delivery system and by further using a device profile indicating the color characteristics of the printer. In the user system, the drawing data are developed and printed into bit-mapped data by using the device link profile data.
