  • Patent number: 7002305
Abstract: An electronic ballast for a discharge lamp has a controller that increase luminous flux of the lamp to a stabilized level in a constant time irrespective of possible variations in lamp characteristic. The controller utilizes a reference lamp power table and a reference lamp voltage table respectively defining a reference lamp power and a reference voltage varying with time. The controller includes a voltage deviation detector that gives a voltage correction index indicating a voltage deviation between the reference voltage and a monitored lamp voltage. The voltage correction index is processed at an offset provider that gives an offset power. A target power generator is included to correct the reference lamp power in view of the offset power, thereby generating a target lamp power which is constantly updated and is supplied to the lamp.

  • Publication number: 20050121998
Abstract: A surface acoustic wave device includes a piezoelectric substrate, a first and a second interdigital transducers (IDTs) provided on the piezoelectric substrate. The first IDT includes multiple tracks having different frequency characteristics that are connected in parallel. The second IDT includes a normalized electrode pattern. The frequency characteristic of the multiple tracks is asymmetric to a center frequency of the SAW filter, substantially flat in a passband when those of the multiple tracks are overlapped, or complementary in the passband. Thus, it is possible to provide the surface acoustic wave device having a high damping property.

  • Publication number: 20040107266
Abstract: This invention provides a URL management system and URL management server that is able to reduce the inconvenience that arises when the URL of a web site is changed. The system comprises a web site server 20 containing the content of a web site, a URL management server 30 that associates the URL of the web site with an intermediate URL corresponding thereto and a search server 40 that associates information regarding the content of the web site with the intermediate URL. The search server 40 sends out the intermediate URL in response to a request from a search based on the information, and the URL management server 30 converts the access destination to the URL of the web site in response to an access request made using the intermediate URL. Thereby, even in the case in which the URL of a web site is changed, there is no need to change the content registered in each search engine.
