  • Patent number: 4600326
Abstract: A casing structure which includes a first casing unit having a first compartment and a second compartment, and a second casing unit having a third compartment. The second casing unit is pivotably connected to the first casing unit so as to open or close with respect thereto. The three compartments have respective inlets and outlets which are connected in series through connecting passages including these outlets and inlets to define an air flow passage. A heat source and sound source, i.e., an electrical and mechanical unit, is arranged in the intermediate second compartment and an air cooling fan is provided in the air flow passage in the vicinity of the heat unit.

  • Patent number: 4451165
Abstract: An ink ribbon folding mechanism for a printing apparatus is adapted for folding an endless ribbon (3) in a ribbon case (6) by means of a pair of feed rollers (4, 4'; 4A, 4A'). For achieving a smooth folding of the ink ribbon, in spite of the relative roughness of the surface (12) of the ink ribbon which is subjected to collision with the type compared to the relative smoothness of the other surface (13), the contact point (17) of the feed rollers is located in a biased position with respect to the center (18) of the ribbon case so that the contact point is closer to the side wall (6b) of the ribbon case that faces the smooth surface of the ink ribbon than to the side wall (6a) of the ribbon case that faces the rough surface of the ink ribbon, whereby, even though when being folded on the side of the smooth surface, the ink ribbon can reach a side wall (6b) of the ribbon case that faces the smooth side of the ink ribbon.

  • Patent number: 4095779
Abstract: In an apparatus for stacking a continuous printed paper delivered from an information processing system, such as a line-printer or the like, for paper stacking apparatus comprises a paper guide means for conveying a printed paper and a paper accumulation means which includes a center base plate and two accumulation plates disposed at both sides thereof, on which said printed paper is orderly stacked in its folded fashion along its pleats. In accordance with the increasing height of the stacked paper, the paper accumulation means descends and also tilting of said accumulation plates varies, which together help to maintain the uppermost surface of the stacked paper in a flat condition. Thus, the desirable stacking of paper is achieved on the accumulation means.
