  • Patent number: 6399711
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing a rubber reinforced styrene-based resin, using a polymerization apparatus comprising: a prepolymerizer; mixing means and a circulating reactor connected with a circulation line; and a plug-flow type reactor, which process comprises: continuously feeding a stock solution into the prepolymerizer; feeding the prepolymerized liquid into the mixer; in this mixer, mixing the prepolymer liquid with circulated liquid that is circulated from the circulating reactor at a flow amount of from 0.5 to 3 times (circulation flow ratio: volume ratio) the flow amount of the prepolymer liquid fed from prepolymerizer into the mixing means; particulating and dispersing the rubbery polymer in the mixed liquid by mechanical shear force; and then feeding the polymer liquid into the plug-flow type reactor, to thereby effect a polymerization.

  • Patent number: 5786822
Abstract: A plurality of texture data of a surface of an object to be displayed as viewed from a plurality of assumed directions are stored in a texture memory. When a CPU sends to a graphic processor information specifying a shape of the surface, a direction to view the surface and a texture in the texture memory as a command, a geometric operation unit produces read information of the texture memory based on the input information. A triangle generator reads the texture data corresponding to the view direction of the surface of the object by the read information for texture mapping. An image of the texture mapped image of the surface of the object is stored in a frame memory and displayed on a monitor. When there is no texture data corresponding to the view direction, a plurality of texture data closest thereto are read from the texture memory and interpolated to produce an appropriate texture data.

  • Patent number: 5289568
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for drawing figures. The apparatus includes a memory apparatus for storing part figures having drawing order judging rules whereby a target figure is drawn, a selecting apparatus for selecting part figures from the memory apparatus according to the user's instructions, and an apparatus for determining the drawing order based on the drawing order rules of a plurality of part figures that were selected from the memory apparatus. The part figures including a given figure are stored in the memory apparatus along with their respective drawing order rules. A second apparatus is provided whereby these part figures are searched for and transferred into a temporary memory area in accordance with the user's instructions. A drawing order determining apparatus determines drawing orders based on the drawing order rules of the user-selected part figures transferred into the temporary memory area. The part figures are drawn on a display unit in accordance with the drawing orders thus determined.

Abstract: A process for producing a copolymer by continuously copolymerizing in a solution monomers comprising 40 to 95% by weight of an aromatic vinyl compound and 5 to 60% by weight of a vinyl cyanide compound, and further 0 to 30% by weight of a vinyl compound copolymerizable with the aromatic vinyl compound and vinyl cyanide compound, wherein 10 to 100 parts by weight of a solvent containing not less than 40% by weight of an alcohol is used as the polymerization solvent based on 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the monomers. According to the process, attachment of a gel-like polymer onto the polymerization vessel or device can be prevented. The copolymer is useful as a thermoplastic resin for various molded articles including electrical parts for domestic uses, automobile parts and commodity goods.
