  • Publication number: 20130021472
Abstract: The apparatus in accordance with the present invention detects locations of opposite ends of a running strip in a width-wise direction and heights of the ends. The apparatus includes a first light-source irradiating a light onto a lower surface of a strip, a second light-source perpendicularly irradiating a linear light onto an upper surface of the strip, a camera taking a photo of the strip, and a calculation unit calculating locations of opposite ends of the strip in width-wise and height-wise directions thereof, based on an image resulted from a light irradiated from the first light-source and an image resulted from a light irradiated from the second light-source and reflected at the strip.

  • Publication number: 20120324880
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for electrically and hydraulically driving a hydraulic cylinder, including a hydraulic pump rotatable in opposite directions, an electric motor for driving the hydraulic pump, a reservoir tank containing hydraulic fluid therein, and a servo-valve. The hydraulic cylinder makes fluid-communication at a head-sided hydraulic chamber with a first port of the hydraulic pump, and makes fluid-communication at a rod-sided hydraulic chamber with a second port of the hydraulic pump. The servo-valve allows ones of the head-sided hydraulic chamber and the rod-sided hydraulic chamber to make fluid-communication to the reservoir tank in accordance with a direction in which the hydraulic pump rotates, and varies a degree at which one of the head-sided hydraulic chamber and the rod-sided hydraulic chamber makes fluid-communication with the reservoir tank, to a designated degree.

  • Publication number: 20040240174
Abstract: A storage device includes a chassis, and a circuit board supported by the chassis and holding a circuit component thereon. The circuit board is covered with an insulating sheet, and the insulating sheet has an opening at a position opposed to the circuit component. The opening is covered with a thermal conduction sheet from an opposite side to that of the circuit board, and the thermal conduction sheet is thermally connected to the circuit component through the opening.

  • Patent number: 5820935
Abstract: In a coating method and apparatus for applying coating liquid onto a web, the coating apparatus includes a rotating member rotatable and contacting with the web; and a support member supporting rotatably the rotating member and including a liquid reservoir formed between the rotating member and the support member, a fluid supply pipe, a cavity filled with the coating liquid and connecting to the fluid supply pipe, and a slit communicating the cavity with the liquid reservoir. The rotating member is supported by a fluid pressure of the liquid reservoir and the coating liquid supplied from the liquid reservoir forms a bead of the coating liquid by the rotating member between the web and the rotating member. The rotating member is floated uniformly in the widthwise direction by the fluid pressure so as to keep a predetermined clearance away from the support member to provide a stable coating. The bead is made uniform in the widthwise direction under any conditions.

  • Patent number: 5607063
Abstract: Information indicating whether or not the current sorting operation is the final one is preset in a control section. Then, a bar code reader recognizes sorting information of paper objects by reading respective bar codes printed on the paper objects that are supplied one by one from a paper object supply section. A bar code erasing section erases the bar codes after the bar codes have been read, if the information indicating the current sorting operation is the final one is preset in the control section. If the current sorting operation is not the final one, the bar codes are not erased. The paper objects are sorted based on the sorting information recognized by the bar code reader, and stacked in stores. Being capable of erasing the bar codes printed on the paper objects before they are distributed to users, a paper object sorting apparatus of the present invention has an advantage that it is free from a possibility of giving the users uncomfortable feeling.

  • Patent number: 5075814
Abstract: An external magnetizing method and external magnetizing apparatus for a rotary electric apparatus having internal permanent magnets, which obtains permanent magnetization of metal pieces fixed along the internal circumference of a yoke from the outside of the yoke while the rotor is situated within the yoke. The external magnetizing method includes the steps of creating the permanent magnets by applying a voltage from a capacitor power source to a yoke magnetizing device adjacent the external circumference of the motor yoke, then incrementally rotating the rotor in its normal rotating direction and thereafter reapplying the capacitor power source voltage to the yoke magnetizing means to again magnetize the metal pieces to obtain a more uniform magnetization when using a capacitor power supply .

  • Patent number: 4893804
Abstract: An apparatus applicable to a sheet article processing system for temporarily accumulating sheet articles which come in arbitrarily one by one or in a bunch and sending them out one by one at predetermined intervals. The apparatus includes a drive mechanism capable of starting and stopping the movement of a suction belt instantaneously, a sensor responsive to the leading edge of a sheet article which has been nipped by a downstream transport path, and a sensor responsive to the presence/absence of an interval between successive sheet articles which occurs between the downstream transport path and a reverse belt. Other sensors are provided for determining an interval between successive articles. A pick-up roller pair is driven at a controllable speed in matching relation to the interval between successive articles determined.
