  • Patent number: 7510278
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus such as an inkjet printer, deformation of a thick recording paper sheet such as a postcard in the conveyance thereof is prevented by a simple and inexpensive structure. A rectangular aperture corresponding to a size of the postcard is formed on a first tray portion, and a second tray portion is attached to the rectangular aperture. The second tray portion is rotatably borne at a front end thereof on the first tray portion, and linked with the first tray portion at a rear end by link members so that the rotation angle of the second tray portion with respect to the first tray portion is restricted. When the second tray portion is opened, the second tray portion is held with an elevation angle with respect to a paper conveying path gentler than that of the first-tray portion, so that the postcard can be inserted into the paper conveying path with a gentle elevation angle. Consequently, the deformation of the postcard can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 7253830
Abstract: A rotary apparatus for a polygon mirror has: a sleeve; a rotation shaft which is inserted into the sleeve; the polygon mirror which is fixed to the rotation shaft; a yoke which is fixed to the rotation shaft; permanent magnets which are fixed to the yoke; and a stator which is fixed to the sleeve, and which is opposed to the permanent magnets. Tapped portions are formed in a part of the outer circumference of the rotation shaft, and a part of the inner circumference of the sleeve, respectively. The tapped portions are temporarily engaged with each other in a process of inserting the rotation shaft into the sleeve. The rotation direction of the rotation shaft in a driving process is identical with that of the rotation shaft in the inserting process.

  • Patent number: 4353045
Abstract: A casing of a box-like shape of a rectangular parallelepiped is formed which has one side portion or each of a pair of opposing side portions formed with an opening and has a partitioning member therein. A plurality of plate like piezoelectric resonators and terminal plates are placed in the casing in parallel with the upper and bottom portions of the casing so that the same are housed in a stacked manner. The plurality of piezoelectric resonators and terminal plates as housed are partitioned into two groups by means of the partitioning member. Accordingly, the height of the casing is determined by the thickness of each plate like piezoelectric resonator and the number of the resonators, with the result that the height of the casing can be decreased to be a thin type. A blocking member or members are provided to one opening or two opposing openings formed on the side portion or portions. The piezoelectric resonators and terminal plates are blocked by the blocking member from being slipped out from the casing.
