  • Publication number: 20090004926
Abstract: The invention provides a connector in which, while miniaturization and thinning are attained at a level equivalent to the conventional art, it is possible to prevent a phenomenon that molten solder drips from a wire connecting portion to form a solder bridge between adjacent contacts, from occurring, and a cable can be soldered to the wire connecting portion with excellent workability and high strength. In the connector of the invention, each of terminal portions (25) of plural contacts (20) which are juxtaposed in the pitch direction has a wire connecting portion (26, 27, 28) to which a lead wire (71, 72, 73, 74) drawn out from a cable (70) is to be soldered. The wire connecting portion is expansively opened along the connector thickness direction which is perpendicular to: an insertion/extraction direction of the connector with respect to a counter connector; and the pitch direction perpendicular to the insertion/extraction direction.

  • Patent number: 6667733
Abstract: The pointing device of the present invention has a case fixed to a mounting substrate. A sliding-type operating body and moving bodies for moving linearly in X-Y directions in the case as the operating body is slid are provided. Respective side portions of the moving bodies project sideways from the case and lower faces of respective projecting portions face a surface of the mounting substrate. By bringing contacts mounted to the lower faces of the respective projecting portions into contact with a resistor circuit formed on the surface of the mounting substrate, volume portions are formed at two orthogonal side portions. The two orthogonal side portions overhang sideways like eaves and springs for origin returning and are disposed between respective overhanging portions and the respective projecting portions.

  • Patent number: 6528740
Abstract: The present invention avoids increase in a thickness of a pointing device for inputting a signal in X-Y directions by sliding operation, improves functions of the device, and reduces the number of parts. The present invention includes a case housing a set of moving bodies for moving linearly in X-Y directions as an operating body is slid. Below the moving bodies, a built-in substrate is housed. The moving bodies are respectively formed of plate-shaped metal portions and resin portions mounted to opposite sides of the moving bodies. The case is formed of an upper case made of resin and a lower case formed of a metal plate. Contacts for coming into sliding contact with the built-in substrate are mounted to the resin portions to form a volume. Springs for origin returning are housed in the resin portions. The operating body operates a press-down switch on the built-in substrate.

  • Patent number: 6307486
Abstract: A joystick device includes a case so that first and second rocking members are respectively supported in a overlapped manner by first and second bearings formed in the case with their first and second elongate holes positioned perpendicular to each other. The operation of the lever inserted through the first and second elongate holes causes tilt movement in at least one of the rocking members so that the movement of the rocking member is supplied as a pulse signal by a detecting device. The lever includes an engaging portion engaged with the rocking member on the upper side, and a spherical portion formed at a position above the same rocking member. The cover has a hole having an inner peripheral edge with which contacted is an outer peripheral surface of the spherical portion so that the lever is supported operable in every direction. A spring is provided with the case, which acts to press down the rocking member thereby returning the lever to a neutral position.
