  • Publication number: 20240111240
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a charging member, a developing member, a transfer member, first and second gears, a drive source, and a control unit. The charging member contacts the photosensitive drum and forms a charging portion to charge a surface of the photosensitive drum. The control unit performs control in such a manner that an image forming operation of performing image formation by rotating the photosensitive drum at a first rotational speed is executable. Where the control unit executes the image forming operation, the control unit performs a switch operation of stopping the photosensitive drum in a state in which the photosensitive drum is driven, while a non-image forming operation to be executed after the image forming operation is executed, and rotationally driving the photosensitive drum again at a second rotational speed faster than the first rotational speed, a plurality of times.

  • Patent number: 6615902
Abstract: A die casting machine includes vacuum tank 26 and vacuum pump 27 that together evacuate the inside of a mold cavity 40 to a first degree of vacuum, and vacuum tank 21 and vacuum pump 22 that together evacuate the cavity to a second degree of vacuum higher than the first degree of vacuum. The cavity 40 is connected to vacuum tanks 21 and 26 for evacuating the cavity 40 through an evacuation passage 17. When solenoid valves 19 and 24 open and the cavity is evacuated, a powder mold releasing agent is supplied by a powder feeding apparatus 30 into the cavity 40. Filters 20 and 25 each having a filter diameter smaller than a mean grain diameter of the powder mold releasing agent are interposed between the solenoid valves 19, 24 and the vacuum tanks 21, 26, respectively. When the vacuum tanks 21 and 26 evacuate the cavity 40, filters 20 and 25 capture the major proportion of the powder mold releasing agent, and the occurrence of trouble in the vacuum tanks, etc, can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20020062210
Abstract: A voice-input recording system is disclosed which includes a vocal-to-textural converter for translating, with the aid of a speech recognition program, a speech signal into speech data in a textural format. The textural speech data is then combined with incremental date-and-time data, with the increments of the date-and-time data assigned as addresses to successive segments of the speech data. The speech data is recorded together with field separators interposed one between each speech data segment and the date-and-time data increment assigned thereto, and with record separators interposed one between each combination of one speech data segment and one field separator and one date-and-time data increment and another such combination.

  • Patent number: 5181147
Abstract: A rotary-head assembly for the storage and retrieval of digital data on and from a series of slanting record tracks on magnetic tape in cassette form or the like, with the capability of monitoring the recording being written on the tape. The rotary-head assembly includes a rotary drum to which there are mounted first and second magnetic read/write heads and first and second magnetic monitor heads. The two read/write heads alternately scan the magnetic tape for creating a series of slanting record tracks on the magnetic tape. For monitoring the data being written by the first and second read/write heads, the first and second monitor heads scan only parts of the widths of the record tracks created by the first and second read/write heads, respectively. The output signals of the monitor heads are therefore less in amplitude than if they scanned the full widths of the record tracks.

  • Patent number: 5146371
Abstract: A digital audio tape recorder is adapted for recording non-music signals such as, typically, those representative of measurements being made in real time by one or more instruments or meters, together with brief vocal commentary on the measurements and/or with the date and time at which the measurements are made. If the measurements of two instruments or meters are to be recorded simultaneously, the two measurements signals as well as the vocal commentary signal are first digitized. A multiplexing circuit combines the first measurements signal and the commentary signal into a first series of composite data words, and the second measurements signal and a digital time signal into a second series of composite data words. The bits of each composite data word are apportioned between the first measurements signal and the commentary signal, and between the second measurements signal and the time signal, according to their expected relative amounts to be recorded.

  • Patent number: 4183287
Abstract: A position control valve provided for controlling a first hydraulic unit is also operable to control a second hydraulic unit. The apparatus comprises the first hydraulic unit for raising and lowering a primary working implement, the second hydraulic unit for raising and lowering a secondary working implement, the control valve for controlling the first hydraulic unit, and a feedback mechanism for returning the control valve to its neutral position for every position of a control lever in operative relation to the upward or downward movement of the primary working implement. A guide plate for the control lever for operating the control valve provides a second operation range for the secondary working implement having a neutral position corresponding to a maximum lift position for the primary working implement. Elastic regulating means is mounted on the guide plate for the second operation range to set the control lever in position.
