Abstract: A vehicle drive unit includes an internal combustion engine (21), an electromotive unit (23) having a first electric motor (31) and a second electric motor (33), an inverter (27) disposed above the electromotive unit, a first harness (41) that electrically connects the inverter and a first terminal block (61) of the first electric motor, and a second harness (42) that electrically connects the inverter and a second terminal block (62) of the second electric motor. The first electric motor and the second electric motor are disposed in a vehicle front-rear direction. Of the first electric motor and the second electric motor, one electric motor is disposed on the front side in the front-rear direction, and the other electric motor is disposed on the rear side in the front-rear direction. The other electric motor is offset upward in the up-down direction with respect to the one electric motor.

Abstract: There are provided a coating composition, for use on a plastic lens with a refractive index exceeding 1.60, for avoiding interference fringes and unevenness in the reflected color, and a lens coated with such coating composition. The coating composition contains an organic silicon compound represented by R.sup.1.sub.a R.sup.2.sub.b Si(OR.sup.3).sub.4-(a+b) and modified sol of a double structure in which nuclei composed of tin oxide colloid particles are surrounded by tin oxide-tungsten oxide complex colloid particles, and the plastic lens is coated with such coating composition.

Abstract: A plastic lens comprising a plastic lens base material having provided on at least one surface thereof (1) a primer layer comprising a resin containing at least one organosilicon compound represented by the following general formula (I):R.sup.1.sub.m R.sup.2.sub.n Si(OR.sup.3).sub.4-m-n (I)wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group or a halogen atom, R.sup.3 represents an alkyl group, an acyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group, and m and n are each 0 or 1, or a hydrolyzate thereof, (2) a hard coat layer and, optionally, (3) a reflection preventing layer in this order is disclosed. The plastic lens according to the present invention is characterized by having an excellent scratch resistance even though the lens has the primer layer, and also having an excellent impact resistance even though the lens has the hard coat layer.
