  • Publication number: 20150191623
Abstract: Provided are: a resin composition which can give a carbon-fiber-reinforced composite material having not only high degrees of flame retardancy and thermal resistance, owing to properties of phenolic resins, but also excellent mechanical properties; a precursor of the carbon-fiber-reinforced composite material obtained by using the resin composition; a carbon-fiber-reinforced composite material formed from the precursor; and a carbon-fiber-reinforced carbon material. The resin composition contains, as essential components, a resol-type phenolic resin, a novolac-type phenolic resin, and at least one alcohol selected from a group consisting of methanol, ethanol and n-propylalcohol.

  • Publication number: 20130153828
Abstract: PROBLEM To effectively utilize plant residue such as soybean hulls, rapeseed meal, rice bran, rice husk, and cacao husk. SOLUTION When forming sheet material from a mixture of burned plant material and fibrous material by a wet-process sheet production method, the burned plant material is one of a burned material of rice husk, a burned material of rice bran, a burned material of soybean hulls, a burned material of inner skin of peanut, a burned material of conduit side wall portion of seed plant or a burned material of cacao husk, and the fibrous material is one of a organic fiber derived from thermoplastic resin including polyolefin consisting of polyethylene and polypropylene, polyester, polyamide, vinyl chloride, polyacrylonitrile, polyvinyl chloride and aramid, a fiber derived from thermosetting resin including kynol, a natural fiber including cotton, wool, etc.

  • Patent number: 7867596
Abstract: A carbon fiber composite material (10) is provided which includes carbon fibers (11), a matrix (12) binding the carbon fibers (11) together, and pores (13), and a volume fraction of the carbon fibers (11) exclusive of the pores (13) is not less than 45% and up to 80%. The carbon fiber composite material (10) may preferably have a porous structure of which a porosity is not more than 20% and up to 70%. This carbon fiber composite material (10) has a high static friction coefficient (?S), and low ? ratio, and thus is suitable for a wet friction member (e.g., carbon disc 5) which is excellent in both of static friction performance and dynamic friction performance.

  • Publication number: 20080066993
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a resin gear for an electric power steering apparatus excellent in mechanical strength and durability, in which damage of teeth, for example, does not occur even when the gear is employed in an electric power steering apparatus equipped with a high-power electric actuator. In a resin gear for an electric power steering apparatus in the form of a worm wheel 10, a gear portion 16 thereof is formed of a resin molding material containing a thermosetting resin and polyparaphenylene-benzobisoxazole fibers (PBO fibers) as essential constituents.
