Abstract: In a portable computer apparatus, if an operation mode, designated by an input operation of a mode change switch 4 of a pen device, is changed from a user program mode to a power management mode when a program using data in a user program area of the VRAM is executed by the main CPU, power management data is developed while a first arbiter arbitrates between access from a display control section and a main CPU to a VRAM, and while a second arbiter 8 arbitrates access from a sub CPU to a power management area of the VRAM.

Abstract: A can forming apparatus interposes a plurality of feed guides projecting part way into a path of feed of a can blank. The feed guides hold a leading can blank and embrace it in cooperating outer peripheral recesses to move the can blank into alignment with a die. Radially extended portions, continuous from the recesses, press the can blank downward after the can blank is released from the recesses. A pair of leaf springs or a pair of rollers temporarily hold the can blank before it is pressed downward by the radially extended portions of feed guides. An elongated punch is advanced into the die bore effect deep drawing and ironing of the can blank in the die bore thereby forming a can body. The punch is driven in reciprocating linear motion, supported on fluid bearings. Pressurized gas is admitted through the punch into the can body at a time in the can-forming cycle appropriate to remove the can from the punch. The pressurized gas separates the can body from the punch.

Abstract: A data communication system and apparatus performs data communication by using a public telephone line network. This apparatus includes: a data transmitter to transmit data to a communication partner equipment through a line; a detector to detect accounting pulses obtained from the line; a controller to control the data transmitter so as to interrupt the data transmission when the accounting pulse is detected by the detector; and an image reader to read an image. The data transmitter transmits the read image data which is read by the reader or the data which is input by a key input device. The detector detects the inversion of the polarity of the line, thereby detecting the arrival of the accounting pulse. According to the data communication apparatus, data transmission of a high reliability can be performed at a high speed while minimizing the generation of errors without being influenced by the noise electric power generated during the inverting operation of the polarity of the pulse on the line.
