  • Patent number: 6594547
Abstract: A baggage managing system for removing a non-boarding passenger's baggage rapidly from a plane even if a passenger checks plural pieces of baggages and improving the convenience of passengers without rise in costs. A clerk inputs the number of baggages 1, operating a baggage numbers input unit 41. A boarding pass read/write unit 40 reads boarding information including passenger's ID and flight number from a boarding pass 9 and generates baggage ID in accordance with the baggage numbers and the boarding information. A tag issuing unit 42 issues a tag 10 having recorded the passenger's ID and the baggage ID. The tag 10 is attached to the baggage 1 and read by a tag and container reading device 8. When a passenger P passes a gate 5, a boarding pass reading device 6 reads the boarding information from the boarding pass 9. The boarding information and the baggage ID etc. are recorded in databases 2A and 2B.

  • Publication number: 20020040347
Abstract: A system for preventing unauthorized use of digital contents information which disables the use of a storage medium having digital contents recorded thereon by those other than an authorized user. An information terminal 10 reads out digital contents information desired by a user from a contents storing server 6 for storing digital contents information, encodes the read out digital contents information based on ID information of a player 15, and writes it on a predetermined storage medium. The player 15 reads out the data from the storage medium and performs a decode process on the data based on its own ID information to restore the digital contents information.

  • Patent number: 6188834
Abstract: A signal recording apparatus is arranged to record main information in a first area provided in each of a multiplicity of parallel tracks formed on a tape-shaped recording medium, and an index signal in a second area of each of a predetermined number of continuous tracks, the second area being provided separately from the first area within each of the multiplicity of parallel tracks. The apparatus records, as the index signal, first index information in a first section within the second area of each of the predetermined number of continuous tracks, with either one of binary data being repeated continuously during a period corresponding to the first section, and second index information in a second section within the second area of each of the predetermined number of continuous tracks, the second index information including track data indicative of relation to a specific track among the predetermined number of continuous tracks.

  • Patent number: 5793561
Abstract: A rotary drum assembly is arranged so that upper and lower drums can rotate about a central shaft with respect to each other via a dynamic-pressure bearing. In the rotary drum assembly, the central shaft is press-fitted into the rotary upper drum, a sleeve which is formed so that the central shaft can be rotatably fitted thereinto is supported by the fixed lower drum, and a dynamic-pressure generating groove is formed in either one of the central shaft and the sleeve, whereby a dynamic-pressure bearing is formed between the central shaft and the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 5483401
Abstract: In a recording or reproducing apparatus arranged to carry out recording or reproduction of a signal while keeping a magnetic tape wrapped around a rotary head drum equipped with a head, the upper cylinder of the rotary head drum is provided with a rotor core which constitutes part of a rotary transformer for carrying out signal exchange between the head and an external circuit. An elastically deformable contact is held by a holder secured to the rotor core, and includes a plurality of conductive portions, each conducting electricity between opposed faces of the elastically deformable contact, and a cutout defined in a middle portion thereof. The elastically deformable contact is pressed from opposed sides between a conductive pattern connected to the magnetic head and a conductive pattern connected to the rotor core so that it can be brought into pressure contact with both of the conductive patterns, thereby providing electrical conduction between the head and the rotor core.

  • Patent number: 5107380
Abstract: A rotary head type recording or reproducing apparatus of the type in which the recording or reproduction of signals is effected by tracing a recording medium transported in a predetermined direction with rotary heads in a direction which is at less than 90.degree. with respect to this predetermined direction. The apparatus is provided with a rewinding mode in which the above-mentioned recording medium is transported in a direction reverse to the above-mentioned predetermined direction without performing the recording or reproduction of signals, with the rotary heads being in the condition where they can trace the recording medium. In this rewinding mode, the rotary heads are rotated in a direction reverse to their rotating direction during the recording or reproduction of signals.
