A multi-level information index display method includes the steps of: setting and editing multi-level hierarchical and correlated information; storing the information as meta data; analyzing the meta data and generating a set of rendering instructions; rendering a graphic image based on the analyzed meta data and set of rendering instructions; and displaying the graphic image on a computer screen for user to view.
