  • Publication number: 20120013511
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a portable radio apparatus capable of attaining a higher level of antenna performance in each of a plurality of frequency bands, without making the portable radio apparatus larger. A ground wire, which is set with an electrical length resonating at a second frequency band, which is different from that of an antenna element 14, of two or more carrier frequency bands in which a wireless circuit on a circuit board 11 operates, is arranged between a ground pattern of the circuit board 11 and the antenna element 14 and the operating states of the ground wire 15 are switched by a line switching switch 16, depending on the using frequency band. Thereby, it is possible to attain the higher level of antenna performance in each of the first frequency band with which the antenna element 14 resonates and the second frequency band with which the ground wire 15 resonates.

  • Publication number: 20110316758
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a portable radio apparatus that obtains a high antenna performance without limiting the degree of freedom in the exterior and design of a main body of portable radio apparatus. A portable radio apparatus (1) includes a radiation element (14) disposed on a side opposite to a rear part (10a) of a housing (10) through a circuit board (11), and a plate conductor (16) disposed substantially in parallel to the circuit board (11) between the circuit board (11) and the rear part (10a) of the housing (10).

  • Publication number: 20110267240
Abstract: A portable wireless device wherein antenna performance deterioration when using a slide mechanism having a metal member can be prevented. In this portable wireless device, a second housing (102) is slidably attached to a first housing (101). The circuit board (105) is provided in the first housing (101) and has a slit (110) which extends in a direction crossing the sliding direction of the first housing (101) and is located below a power feed unit (109) when the wireless device is opened. The circuit board (108) is provided in the second housing (102) and overlaps with the bottom side of the circuit board (105) as seen from a plan view when the first housing (101) is slid open. The antenna (107) is provided on the upper side of the second housing (102). The power feed unit (109) supplies power to the antenna (107) at a position close to the antenna (107).

  • Publication number: 20110254743
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a portable wireless device that can attain a high level of antenna performance when a plurality of antenna elements is present, and for which a housing can be made thinner. Among paths between a first power supply unit 13 and a second power supply unit 14 provided at edges of a notched part 17 of a circuit board, a ground pattern of a path with a short electrical length relative to a wavelength of an operating frequency of a first wireless unit 15 or an operating frequency of a second wireless unit 16 is split to give an electrically unconnected state. In this way, ground current caused by one of the antenna elements (for example, second antenna element 12) will not flow to or will be reduced in the other antenna element (for example, first antenna element 11), so that deterioration in the characteristics of the other antenna element can be kept low.

  • Publication number: 20100045541
Abstract: A mobile radio apparatus improves the flexibility of the layout design of an antenna and a radio circuit by arranging the antenna and the radio circuit for supplying power to the antenna in separate housings and realizes a smaller apparatus size. In this apparatus, a first housing (110) that accommodates an antenna element (114), antenna power feeding section (116) and a first circuit substrate (118) and a second housing (150) that has a second circuit substrate (152) on which a radio circuit section (154) is mounted, are coupled to be rotatable around a hollow rotation axis part (130). A group of a plurality of thin linear coaxial wires (170) that electrically connects the first circuit substrate (118) and the second circuit substrate (152) is inserted through the rotation axis part (130). At least one of thin linear coaxial wires (172) of thin linear coaxial wire group (170) is used as a power feeding line that electrically connects an antenna power feeding section (116) and a radio circuit (152).
