  • Patent number: 4665331
Abstract: A brushless DC micromotor made up of a stator coil and a rotor housed inside thereof with magnet poles formed therein, which micromotor is characterized in that the stator coil is formed by coaxially winding more than one coil sheet formed on an insulating sheet, on which coil sheet a plurality of coil patterns are continuously provided in series in the direction of winding. The motor of the present invention can be made smaller, thinner and lighter than the conventional counterpart made by the use of a wound copper wire coil.

  • Patent number: 4587468
Abstract: A sudden stop circuit for a brushless micromotor comprising a means for detecting the off state of the on/off switch of the brushless micromotor and a means for applying a locking pulse signal to at least one motor coil for a specified period depending on the off state detection signal generated by the detection means, whereby the motor rotor is braked by the electromagnetic force generated in the motor coil by the locking pulse signal. This circuit is compact and can apply great braking force to stop the motor in an extremely short time.

  • Patent number: 4568283
Abstract: A handpiece for medical treatment having a brushless micromotor mounted in a handpiece casing for driving a cutting tool and having a coolant passageway formed on the outer periphery of a cylindrical yoke fixed to the frame of the handpiece body. In this handpiece, the coolant passageway is formed helically around the axis of the yoke from one end to the other end of the yoke. The sectional area of the yoke in any given longitudinal sectional position along the axis of the yoke is rendered approximately equal to prevent a reduction in motor torque and also enlargement of the handpiece in diameter.

  • Patent number: 4494057
Abstract: A speed control system for small medical motors. The system comprises a drive voltage regulation circuit, a current detection circuit which generates a detection signal in accordance with motor current, a voltage detection circuit which generates a detection signal in accordance with motor voltage, and a speed control circuit which controls the drive voltage regulation circuit in accordance with the detection signals of both detection circuits. With this system, the detection signal of the current detection circuit is positive-fed back, and the detection signal of the voltage detection circuit is negative-fed back to the speed control circuit to keep motor speed constant by effectively coping with abrupt load fluctuation.

  • Patent number: 4214169
Abstract: The device makes it possible to expose a patient to an approximate flux of X-ray beams without the interference of light and X-rays from outside in the X-rays from an X-ray's generation source (X-ray tube) during irradiation of the X-rays upon the patient and to detect the dose of X-rays in the form of an electrical signal. In such a process, it uses the signal as a detection medium to a normal dose of X-rays so as to permit the irradiation of an exact and normal amount of X-rays upon the affected part.

  • Patent number: 4178508
Abstract: A device for controlling the amount of X-ray irradiation in an X-ray photographing apparatus wherein the dose of X-rays actually administered from an X-ray tube to a patient is determined or measured in an X-ray irradiation amount measuring circuit. The measured value is compared with a set point of X-ray irradiation amount. When the measured value is in agreement with the set point, the operation of the X-ray tube is inactivated.
