Abstract: According to one embodiment, a printer server type print system includes plural digital multi-function peripherals, an information processing apparatus and a printer server. The information processing apparatus includes a display unit, an input unit and a first control unit. The display unit is configured to display information of the plural digital multi-function peripherals. The input unit is configured to accept setting of at least one digital multi-function peripheral allowed for outputting among the plural digital multi-function peripherals. The first control unit is configured to transmit a print job including information of the digital multi-function peripheral allowed for outputting. The printer server includes a memory and a second control unit. The second control unit is configured to manage the print job stored in the memory.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a server apparatus includes a storage unit, a communication unit, and a controller. The storage unit stores print jobs received from an external apparatus. The communication unit transmits the print job stored in the storage unit, in response to a print request for the print job from any image forming apparatus, to the image forming apparatus which is a print request source. The controller changes the print job of which a storage limit expires among the print jobs stored in the storage unit into a deleted print job so as to have a temporary storage limit.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus spools normal print requests received from external equipment as normal print jobs which are sequentially executed by a printer, spools a private print request received from an external equipment in a spooler as a private print job executed by a printer in response to an instruction by a user who has requested the private print, and changes a normal print job in an execution waiting state of the user which is spooled in the spooler to a private print job of the user in response to a request from the user authenticated by a user authenticating portion.

The printing unit selects, during printing on a recording medium, whether printing information or a background is rendered with first dots having a size set in advance or rendered with second dots larger than the first dots and prints the printing information or the background. The copying unit selects, during copying of the recording medium on which the printing information or the background is rendered by the printing unit, whether the first dots rendered on the recording medium are erased or density of the second dots is increased.

The reading unit reads a document recorded on a recording medium and acquires a document file. The document-management-information storing unit stores, together with the document file, document management information including a confidentiality level of the document. The discarding-information storing unit stores plural kinds of discarding information for discarding a plurality of the recording media each of which is different depending on the confidentiality level of the document. Abstract: According to one embodiment, a printing managing apparatus includes a log memory, an allowed amount memory, a counting unit, a calculating unit, and an output unit. The log memory stores, in association with user identification information, information indicating a sheet printed by an image forming apparatus according to an instruction of a user or information indicating a sheet discarded by the user. The allowed amount memory stores allowed amounts of sheets usable by users. The counting unit counts the number of un-discarded sheets among sheets printed by a certain user stored by the log memory. The calculating unit calculates a usage ratio of sheets from the number of un-discarded sheets counted by the counting unit and the allowed amount of sheets for the user stored by the allowed amount memory. Abstract: According to an embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a user information acquiring unit, a scanner, a display, a processing unit, and a printer. The user information acquiring unit acquires user information. The scanner scans a document image added with a tracking ID. The display displays a list of selectable destinations according to the tracking ID extracted from the image scanned by the scanner and the user information acquired by the user information acquiring unit. Abstract: An image forming apparatus judges whether the number of pages to print exceeds the number as a reference to judge whether to print many pages based on the setting of a confidential document print job, when receiving the print job. Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes an image forming unit configured to form an image corresponding to input data on a sheet; and a CPU configured to determine, if the image is formed on the sheet, whether authority information concerning treatment of the image is included in the input data and cause. If the authority information is included, the image forming unit forms information concerning a license on the sheet. The information concerning the license is acquired by communication with a server that permits use of the input data based on the authority information.
