  • Patent number: 4980249
Abstract: An electrolyte feeder for battery in order to fill an electrolyte into a battery comprising plural cells, integrally having shell bodies equal in number to the number of cells, filling hole at tip and of each shell body being sealed up by a thin film, the thin film being designed to be broken by a filling sleeve of battery so as to improve an efficiency of filling the electrolyte, and bottom parts of the shell bodies being connected each other by the communicating means in order to avoid failure to fill the electrolyte and facilitate replacement of the electrolyte with air.

  • Patent number: 4898796
Abstract: A lead-acid storage battery includes a connecting terminal assembly which comprises: a bushing made from lead or lead alloy, buried in a cover of the battery in the same process as when the cover is molded, and including a hole into which a pole is fitted; and a connecting terminal made by press working of metal, except for lead or lead alloy, having a good electrical conductivity, having at least one bolt-insertion hole and a space for accommodating a nut, fixed to the upper portion of the bushing, and having a strength resistive to a torque of 40 kg-cm or more caused by a bolt inserted into the bolt-insertion hole.

  • Patent number: 4833047
Abstract: An electrolyte feeder for battery including an electrolyte container, said container comprising a shell body filled with an electrolyte in a plurality of spaced cell units, equal in number to the number of individual cells in a dry changed storage battery, each of said shell bodies having a filling tube, said filling tubes being spaced to coincide with the spacing between filling ports of said battery to enable the filling tubes to fit into the corresponding one of the filling ports, a thin film being formed at a tip end of the filling tube, and said thin film sealing up each shell body.

  • Patent number: 4565750
Abstract: An electrolyte container for simultaneously filling electrolyte into the individual cells of a multi-cell dry-charged storage battery comprising a shell body having a plurality of spaced cell units, corresponding in number to the battery to be filled and each containing the quantity of electrolyte required to fill the corresponding battery cell, each container cell unit including a flow regulator, a sealed tip and a cutting line between the tip and flow regulator for cutting and removing the tip when the container is to be used to fill the cells of a dry-charged battery.

  • Patent number: 4127707
Abstract: This invention relates to storage batteries and more particularly to a storage battery having an improved terminal construction in which a cover and a synthetic resin portion surrounding a terminal post are best sealed together, the post passing through an opening in the cover and being electrically connected with a positive and negative plate group located in the battery container. The synthetic resin portion has a dish-shaped section with an upwardly open cavity, and has projections for the reception within recesses provided in ribs located on the inner wall and on the partition wall of the container. Thus, a storage battery is provided which avoids leakage of electrolyte from the terminal, is high in performance, is long lasting, easy to make, adapted for mass production and is economical.
