  • Patent number: 7682096
Abstract: An ADU is turned around a first hole section that operates as fulcrum and opened by a first angle relative to the lateral side of an apparatus main body when dissolving a jam. The lateral side cover is temporarily taken away from a stationary side plate when maintenance the inside of a color copying machine. Then, a second engaging pin is put into a second hole section to engage the lateral side cover with the stationary side plate. The ADU is turned around the second hole section that operates as fulcrum and opened by a second angle greater than the first angle.

  • Publication number: 20100061784
Abstract: An interlock switch is switched according to the movement of a relay reversal unit rather than the movement of a front cover. The relay reversal unit is connected to a driver substrate by a drawer connector. The change-over of the interlock switch according to the movement of the relay reversal unit is turned off when margin time elapses after a cover detection switch is turned off.

  • Publication number: 20090194934
Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention relates to an image forming apparatus including: a control panel for designating a size of sheets fed by a paper feeding cassette; a sidewall motor that opens a front sidewall and a rear sidewall to the maximum when the paper feeding cassette is drawn out from an apparatus main body and slides the front sidewall and the rear sidewall to both side positions of the sheets of the designated size when the paper feeding cassette is inserted into the apparatus main body; and an end wall motor that opens an end wall to the maximum when the paper feeding cassette is drawn out from the apparatus main body and slides the end wall to a trailing end position of the sheets of the designated size when the paper feeding cassette is inserted into the apparatus main body.

  • Publication number: 20090194939
Abstract: In an embodiment of the present invention, a plate is laid over sides of a second guide and a first guide that pivots relative to the second guide. The plate pivots with a first pin on the side of the second guide as a fulcrum. A second pin on the side of the first guide is inserted through a slit of the plate. The plate is pivoted by pivoting of the first guide in an opening direction. The second pin is fit in a stop slit provided in the slit to maintain the first guide in an open state. The first guide is pivoted in a closing direction to remove the second pin from the stop slit and close the first guide.

  • Publication number: 20090057996
Abstract: In an embodiment of the invention, a cam of a pitch adjustment mechanism can be slid and moved along a first shaft. When a sheet is a standard paper, the pitch adjustment mechanism is ejected from an adjustment position by an urging force of a movement spring and is moved to a standby position, and slide contact between the cam and a second shaft is released. When a sheet is a thick paper, a solenoid is turned on, the pitch adjustment mechanism is disposed at the adjustment position by a plunger, and it is prevented that the registration roller pair abruptly come in contact with each other after the thick paper passes through.
