    Abstract: A projection display device includes: a leg section that supports a main body of the projection display device with respect to an installation surface on which the main body is installed; and a filter section that is disposed on a bottom of the main body and exposes a first air intake surface to the outside. In this arrangement, the first air intake surface is inclined with respect to the bottom surface of the main body in a direction that departs from the installation surface, and air flows into the filter section through a clearance between the first air intake surface and the installation surface.

    Abstract: A projector which includes a first exhaust fan discharging exhaust air from a light source lamp to exterior and a second exhaust fan discharging exhaust air from parts other than the light source lamp are arranged to be adjacent to each other. An end of the exhaust fan facing the other exhaust fan is moved to the inner side and the one exhaust fan is inclined to discharge air in an exhaust direction toward a direction along which air is discharged from the other exhaust fan. There is provided a cooling fan that blows air to an interior air blow outlet communicating with the interior of the light source lamp and exterior air blow outlets communicating with an outer surface to cool the light source lamp. The exterior air blow outlets are deviated from the center of the outer surface of the light source lamp.

The projector is provided with an outer case including a bottom wall that defines an outer bottom surface and an inner bottom surface of the outer case. Insert nuts are arranged on the bottom wall. Each insert nut includes a threaded hole to which a first coupling screw is fastened and a second coupling screw can be fastened. The first coupling screw couples the attachment to the outer bottom surface of the bottom wall, and the second coupling screw is fastened to the threaded hole from a side opposite to the first coupling screw. The second coupling screw is fastened at least one of the insert nuts to couple the inner device to the inner bottom surface of the bottom wall.

The liquid crystal projector apparatus of the invention has a casing (1) for accommodating therein a light source (4), an optical system adapted to construct imaging light in response to a beam of light received from the light source, a power supply (9), and a cooling unit (6) mounted on the side wall of the casing (1) to cool the components in the casing. Provided on the inner wall of the casing is an air inspiration mechanism (16, 17, 18, 126) in association with the exhaust unit (6), whereby the exhaust unit (6) can inspire ambient air through the air inspiration mechanism to lower the temperature of the air to be expired from the exhaust unit.

The reflector includes an inner surface that reflects light from the arc tube and an opposite outer surface. The arc tube and the inner surface define an inner portion of the lamp. At least the outer surface defines an outer portion of the lamp. A housing accommodates the lamp and includes an air inlet through which air is drawn in from outside the housing. An air mixing structure mixes a cooling current that has cooled the inner portion of the lamp with the air drawn into the housing through the air inlet. A cooling current guide structure guides the cooling current mixed with the air mixing structure to the outer portion of the lamp.

    Abstract: In a projection image display apparatus, a noise removal filter portion 15 is separated from a power source unit body 14. The separated noise removal filter portion 15 is provided in the vicinity of a side wall of a housing on which a power source inlet is provided, and of the power source unit body 14, respectively. Specifically, the power source unit body 14 is provided along a side wall of a front face of the horizontally-long housing of the projection image display apparatus and the noise removal filter portion 15 is provided in a position opposed to the power source unit body 14 in a side wall of the back face. As a result, even when a light source lamp has a higher output, the projection image display apparatus can achieve reduced noise by an improved cooling capability and reduced cost enabled by an efficient Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) measure and the like.
