    Abstract: There is disclosed a print system in which one of printers connected to a network is selected in accordance with the attributes of print data without requiring a user to operate a host computer, wherein a printer, which received print data from the host computer via a network cable, checks if the received print data can be printed, and if it is determined that the print data can be printed, the print data is printed; if it is determined that the print data cannot be printed, the print data is transferred to another printer, which can print the print data, via the network cable.

    Abstract: A color image processing apparatus is provided with a color correction information memory to store input masking coefficients and .gamma. correction tables. The input masking coefficients can be loaded on the memory by external commands. The .gamma. correction tables include a table for correction values for the .gamma. values at pitches of 0.1 within a range of 1.0 to .alpha. (>1.0). When a .gamma. correction process is executed, the table to be used is selected by specifying the .gamma. value by an external command. With a color correction circuit, the .gamma. correction process and input masking process are executed using the .gamma. correction tables and input masking coefficients stored in the memory.
