  • Patent number: 7220140
Abstract: The present invention relates to a board connector for electrically connecting together circuit boards which are incorporated in, for example, a mobile telephone. A dust-proof measure is carried out by swingably attaching a cover member to a plug via a fulcrum shaft, and covering contact portions of the plug and socket in a fitting state with the cover member. In one of the plug and the cover member, a protrusion which causes an end portion to continuously butt against another one of the plug and the cover member from one end to another end is disposed, whereby, when the plug is inserted, the force of inserting the plug is evenly transmitted from the cover member to the whole plug. Joining portions which, when the plug and the socket are fitted to each other, are joined to each other in a front side with respect to the fulcrum shaft are disposed in the socket and the cover member.

  • Patent number: 6102723
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrical card connector (hereinafter referred to as "connector") which is used for a card C such as an IC card. The invention proposes a structure in which scratches are not formed on the surface of the card when the card C is inserted into the connector or when the card C is ejected from the connector. The connector has a body, a slider, and a cover. The slider is disposed so as to be slidable. The connector has a contact position regulating mechanism which, when the slider is in an initial position, retracts a contact to the outside of a card insertion space S1 and, when the slider reaches a pushed-in position, causes the contact to protrude into the card insertion space S1. When the slider is in the initial position, the contact position regulating mechanism causes the contact to be retracted to the outside of the card insertion space.

  • Patent number: 5417596
Abstract: The invention relates to a multipolar electrical connector which is to be attached to the body of a memory card. The body of the connector has a plurality of pin terminal insertion spaces into which pin terminals of a counter connector are to be respectively inserted. In each of the pin terminal insertion spaces, a first contact piece having a contact located more forward than a rocking fulcrum, and a second contact piece 6 having a contact located more rearward than a rocking fulcrum are opposed to each other, and the contact of the second contact piece is located more rearward than the contact of the first contact piece. A temporary shift between the timings with respect to pin terminals of a counter connector which have different lengths can be assured, and the force required for inserting the pin terminals is suppressed to a small degree.

  • Patent number: 5299946
Abstract: The multipolar electrical connector according to the present invention is adapted to give a pleasant click feel when a memory card C set in the connector is pushed out by a card ejecting mechanism, and also adapted to prevent the component elements of the card ejecting mechanism from being freely moved to prevent an unpleasant collision noise from being produced while no memory card is being set in the connector. The card ejecting mechanism comprises (i) a projecting piece 84 having a mountain-shape expanding portion 85, which is formed at a lever 8 connected to a cam 7, and (ii) a portion to be engaged 54a formed at the side of the connector body 1, the portion to be engaged 54a being adapted to overlap or be engaged with the mountain-shape expanding portion 85 when the lever 8 is moved.

  • Patent number: 5239145
Abstract: A pin jack comprised of a casing body having an insertion space for receiving a plug member. A contact assembly comprising a fixed piece, a connecting piece and a moveable contact piece assembled within the insertion space of the casing body. The members of the contact assembly are arranged laterally in the insertion space of the casing body thus reducing the overall length of the pin jack. The contact assembly can be formed from a single piece of electrically conductive material.
