  • Publication number: 20070051599
Abstract: A collision detecting system for a vehicle has a pressure detecting member for detecting a pressure in a substantially closed space which is arranged at a periphery portion of the vehicle, and a vibration detecting member for detecting a vibration of the vehicle. The pressure in the space is calculated for a detection of a vehicle collision, based on pressure signals detected by the pressure detecting member and vibration signals detected by the vibration detecting member. Therefore, the influence of the vehicle vibration on the detection of the pressure in the space can be restricted, thus improving the detection of the vehicle collision.

  • Publication number: 20070045027
Abstract: A collision detecting system is provided to detect a collision of a vehicle based on a pressure variation in a substantially closed space which is arranged at a periphery portion of the vehicle. The collision detecting system has a sensing unit which detects a pressure in the space. The sensing unit is arranged at the vehicle in such a manner that a detection direction of the sensing unit is slanted with respect to the direction of an impact on the vehicle due to the collision. Therefore, the vehicle vibration excited by the impact can be restricted from influencing the detection result of the pressure in the space by the sensing unit, thus improving the detection of the vehicle collision.

  • Publication number: 20060244245
Abstract: In a side door collision detecting system for a vehicle, an internal pressure sensor detects a door internal pressure of a side door of the vehicle. The internal pressure sensor outputs an internal pressure signal based on the door internal pressure, and the internal pressure sensor is installed in an interior space of the side door. A physical value sensor detects a physical value and outputs a physical value signal based on the physical value. The physical value sensor is installed in the interior space of the side door. A collision determining circuit determines whether the side collision occurs based on the internal pressure signal and the physical value signal.

  • Publication number: 20060236776
Abstract: A diaphragm-type pressure sensing apparatus includes a pressure sensor having a diaphragm for converting pressure into an electrical signal, a circuit board for processing the electrical signal, and a housing in which the pressure sensor and the circuit board are sealed. The pressure sensor is bonded to the housing and sandwiched between the circuit board fixed to the housing and the housing. This structure reduces compressive stress applied to the pressure sensor and the circuit board so that accuracy of the pressure sensing apparatus can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20060236749
Abstract: In a vehicle collision sensing system, a relative pressure sensor senses a pressure difference between a pressure at an inside of a door interior space and a pressure at an outside of the door interior space. An air bag ECU determines the collision of the vehicle based on the pressure difference, which is sensed by the relative pressure sensor.

  • Patent number: 5404854
Abstract: A knocking vibration detecting unit (1) and a knock deciding unit (c) are integrated, and the communications of a knock intensity between the knock deciding unit (c) and an engine controlling microcomputer (7) are carried out in combination of a change from the previous value of a signal line level. In the engine controlling microcomputer (7), the ignition timing is controlled by a predetermined retard angle in case of combination of no change of the present read signal line level from the previous signal line level. Thus, an internal combustion engine is prevented from any damage by relieving a failure without fail when a signal line (10) is troubled, while minimizing the influences of noises and reducing the space and size of an ECU.

  • Patent number: 4809668
Abstract: An ignition system for and internal combustion engine ignition coil energization time is controlled in accordance with operating conditions. First and second sections with respective constant angles in an ignition cycle are defined. An integrating circuit integrates in one direction in the second section of a preceding ignition cycle of the angle signal, and in the other direction in the first section of the next ignition cycle. When the integration value reaches a first predetermined value, an energization start signal is generated. An ignition coil begins to be energized at the time of generation of the energization start signal or at the shift of the angle signal from the first section to the second section, whichever arrives earlier, and the energization is stopped when the angle signal shifts from the second to first section.

  • Patent number: 4741319
Abstract: An ignition system for internal combustion engines is constructed so that, in response to each ignition signal from ignition signal generating means, through a predetermined angle before a succeeding ignition timing, a storage quantity of storing means is gradually increased from an initial value and then it is gradually decreased, and a time point when the storage quantity of the storing means has been decreased to reach the initial value is detected by first storage quantity detecting means to thereby turn on a power transistor for turning on and off a primary current of an ignition coil at that time point, and further the fact that the storage quantity of the storing means has been decreased to reach a set value larger than the initial value is detected by second storage quantity detecting means to thereby change a decrease rate of the storage quantity of the storing means.
