  • Patent number: 5871599
Abstract: A pneumatic radial tire for use in truck and bus comprises a carcass reinforcing a sidewall portion and a tread, and a belt comprised of at least two belt layers, wherein when the tire is mounted onto an approved rim and inflated under an internal pressure of 0.5-1.0 kgf/cm.sup.2, a carcass line of the carcass at a radial section of the tire comprises a curve having a maximum radius of curvature in a region ranging over 10-50% of a tire sectional height and centering around a position of a maximum carcass width, and the sidewall portion has a maximum thickness in a zone corresponding to the above region.

  • Patent number: 5439703
Abstract: The present invention discloses a pressure processing method and processing apparatus for sterilization, denaturation, etc. of food materials. A free piston is fitted in a pressure container so that the free piston is slidable in an axial direction of the container, the pressure container being partitioned by the free piston into two chambers to prevent mixing and contact between a material to be processed and pressure medium. The material to be processed filled in and supplied to one chamber is pressure-processed by the sliding movement of the piston caused by supplying the pressure medium to the other chamber. Three or more pressure containers, in each of which is fitted a free piston, are provided, and a series of processing operations including pressurizing and holding, discharge and supply of the material to be processed are carried out in a batch continuous manner in the same time zone.

  • Patent number: 5417267
Abstract: A pneumatic tire comprises a carcass of at least one carcass ply, a belt comprised of at least three belt layers, and a tread provided with plural circumferential grooves and island portions defined by these circumferential grooves, in which the tread is comprised of at least two rubber layers, one of which layers being a foamed rubber layer not exposed at a side of ground contact surface of the tire. In this case, the foamed rubber layer is extended up to a buttress portion of the tire, whereby noises produced during the running of the tire are effectively reduced without the degradation of wear resistance.
