  • Publication number: 20230166689
Abstract: A vehicle-mounted apparatus communicates wirelessly with a terminal (user terminal) of a passenger of a vehicle and causes an electric field intensity maintaining unit to store an electric field intensity in wireless communication with the user terminal. The vehicle-mounted apparatus determines whether the user terminal is located in the vehicle based on a value related to a first electric field intensity acquired when a power supply of the vehicle is in a predetermined status and stored in the electric field intensity maintaining unit and based on a value related to a second electric field intensity acquired when the passenger leaves the vehicle and stored in the storage unit. The vehicle-mounted apparatus gives the passenger a predetermined notification when it is determined that the user terminal is located in the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8595399
Abstract: A video/sound signal switching and distributing device makes connections to a plurality of video/sound signal receiving devices to be connected at startup of a system and performs authentication between itself and the plurality of video/sound signal receiving devices, thereby acquiring key selection information about a video/sound signal transmitting device and holding the key selection information. Even when another video/sound signal receiving device is connected to the video/sound signal transmitting device while one video/sound signal is already in the middle of displaying a view of the video/sound signal, the video/sound signal transmitting device and the video/sound signal switching and distributing device can again establish a connection without redoing mutual authentication. Hence, disconnection and re-connection of the video/sound signal can be performed without interruption of the video/sound signal being displayed for viewing purpose.

  • Publication number: 20120136930
Abstract: There is provided an interruption display system that displays interruption display information at a suitable position when interrupt information transmitted from an external server is displayed in such a manner as being overlapped on buttons while contents transmitted from a server device are received and displayed by a client device. A content information providing server device (20) stores therein a script describing a display method for displaying interrupt information, and transmits the script to the client device (10) together with content information. An interrupt information providing server device (30) transmits interrupt information. The client device (10) displays content information, and executes a method described in the script received from the content information providing server device (20) when the interrupt information is transmitted from the interrupt information providing server device (30), and displays the interrupt information using a method described in the script.

  • Patent number: 7886333
Abstract: An in-vehicle recording/reproduction device (121) records in a recording device a program which the user starts watching, and reads and reproduces the data when watching is permitted, such as, for example, when a vehicle is stopped. The in-vehicle recording/reproduction device (121) transmits recording information about recording, such as a program, a time, and the like, to an in-home recording/reproduction device (303). The in-home recording/reproduction device (303) records the same program as that recorded by the in-vehicle recording/reproduction device (121) based on the recording information. The in-vehicle recording/reproduction device (121) transmits to the in-home recording/reproduction device (303) reproduction information indicating which scene was last reproduced in the in-vehicle recording/reproduction device (121). The in-home recording/reproduction device (303) performs reproduction based on the reproduction information.

  • Patent number: 7808905
Abstract: Stream data and a command output from a drive device are individually packetized in a first packet processing unit. The stream data packet and the command packet are further multiplexed, and the multiplexed data is transmitted to a transmission path using a synchronous channel. When the command output from a decoding unit is packetized in a second packet processing unit, it is packetized by multiplexing flow control information output from the decoding unit, and is transmitted to the first packet processing unit using a synchronous channel of the transmission path. Based on this flow control information, reading/writing by the drive device is controlled.

  • Patent number: 7581017
Abstract: A data transmission system maintaining synchronization between transmission and reception even when a transmission apparatus, a reception apparatus and a transmission path do not operate on the same clock. Specifically, data packet is obtained by omitting a preamble and/or a parity from data generated by a data generation means and by adding a data length field and spare bits. The obtained data packet is set as an access unit and is transmitted from a transmission apparatus to a transmission path. A reception apparatus adds, to the received data, the preamble and/or the parity to reconstruct data, and adjusts a rate of a data reading clock for transmitting data from a reception-side buffer means to a data processing means a the basis of an accumulated amount in a clock control means.

  • Publication number: 20060156359
Abstract: In a stream reception device, before the user operates an input section (15), a control section (12) uses locational information of each of n number of selected stream transmission stations (2) to generate and send a distribution request (R), which is data for requesting distribution of a stream (ST) stored in each of the stream transmission stations (2). Then, each stream (ST) is buffered in a stream storage section (14) sequentially from a reproduction start portion thereof. Then, in the case where a stream (ST) to be a target is stored, the control section (12) reads the target stream (ST) from the stream storage section (14), sequentially from the reproduction start portion thereof, and reproduces the target stream (ST), in response to an operation on the input section (15).

  • Patent number: 7036936
Abstract: In a display system, a projector is mounted inside a vehicle, and emits a light beam, which is generated based on an image signal, toward an opening formed at a portion near a rear end of the vehicle. An exterior screen is extendable toward the opening and is made of a material having low stiffness. While being extended toward the opening, the exterior screen displays an image by allowing the light beam emitted by the projector to pass therethrough. A screen housing unit is mounted on or near one of a rear hatch and a back door of the vehicle for accommodating the exterior screen.

  • Publication number: 20040249985
Abstract: An IDE interface unit (11) reads out a value of an ATA register in a DVD drive (1) repeatedly and sends the value to a host network interface device (4a). The host network interface device (4a) retains the register value in a shadow register (23). An IDE interface unit (21) sends a value of the shadow register (23) to a DVD decoder (2) (host) upon receiving a reading out signal of a register value in the ATA register (31). Thus, since a register reading out controlling signal is not sent via networks, there is no transmission delay that effects to the network.

  • Publication number: 20040213236
Abstract: In a ring network shown in FIG. 1, each node is connected in a loop, and a transmission frame is transmitted in one direction in an optical transmission line (40). First, a first node (5) starts data transmission to a third node (15) using the transmission frame. At the same time, in the first node (5) to a sixth node (30), it is recognized that the first node (5) has started data transmission to the third node (15). Here, if a fourth node (20) performs data transmission to a fifth node (25), the fourth node (20) starts data transmission after it is checked that the same transmission path is not to be used. As a result, it is possible to provide a transmission system enabling effective utilization of a band of a path unrelated to a path between nodes currently performing communication in the case where communication is performed between parts of nodes.
