  • Publication number: 20090291653
Abstract: A radio transmission apparatus performs peak suppression processing in the two stages of pre-peak suppression processing and post-peak suppression processing. The gain adjustment processing of transmission power is performed in the two stages of coarse gain adjustment processing, prior to the pre-peak suppression processing, and fine gain adjustment processing prior to the post-peak suppression processing. The fine gain adjustment processing has a smaller adjustment step width than the coarse gain adjustment processing, and can adjust the transmission power in response to a small variation of the transmission power. In the pre-peak suppression processing, a peak suppression value corresponding to the gain set by the coarse gain adjustment processing is set on the basis of each value being preset in a table for each transmission power value. In the post-peak suppression processing, the peak suppression value corresponding to the gain modified by the fine gain adjustment processing is obtained by calculation.

  • Publication number: 20090104882
Abstract: A radio transmission apparatus does not update the distortion compensation coefficient for a certain period, which is shorter than the transmission period, after the transmission period start timing. Instead, update operation of the distortion compensation coefficient is carried out after the lapse of a certain period from the start timing. Further, in order to shorten the convergence time of the distortion compensation coefficient, the radio transmission apparatus performs interpolation processing of the distortion compensation coefficient. The distortion compensation coefficient is given to a two-dimensional coordinate (address): one is the power level of an input transmission signal and the other is the difference of power between the input transmission signal and a feedback signal.

  • Patent number: 7283763
Abstract: Disclosed is a fixing apparatus which includes a first rotatable member having an endless configuration, and a second rotatable member in pressure contact with the first rotatable member which causes a recording material bearing an image to be nipped and conveyed at a pressure contact portion between the first and second rotatable members. A temperature raising unit is provided for raising temperature of a local portion of the first rotatable member by reception of electric power supply, and a temperature detecting unit detects a temperature of a location different from the pressure contact portion with respect to a rotational direction of the first rotatable member. A first control unit is provided for feedback-controlling electric power to be supplied to the temperature raising unit, and a second control unit is provided for temporally supplying electric power corresponding to a set value set by a setting unit to the temperature raising unit.

  • Patent number: 7136601
Abstract: In a fixing apparatus using a fixing belt having an elastic layer as a fixing member and an image forming apparatus mounting such a fixing apparatus thereto, before a temperature detecting unit detects temperature change caused upon recording material conveying into a nip region, an electric power required to be applied to a heating element to heat the heating element is corrected to a predetermined electric power, and, when the fixing apparatus is started-up upon starting of print, at a predetermined timing, the electric power required to be applied to the heating element to heat the heating element is corrected to the predetermined electric power and a value of the predetermined electric power is substantially the same as an electric power value required for reaching the fixing apparatus to the predetermined power. The value of the predetermined power is determined in accordance with heat capacity of the recording material or a heat accumulating degree of the fixing apparatus on demand.

  • Patent number: 7054573
Abstract: The heating apparatus includes a first temperature detecting element disposed at least in proximity to a moving member, a second temperature detecting element for detecting the temperature of the heating member or the atmospheric temperature of the apparatus, a controlling portion for controlling electric power supply to the heating member, and a judging portion for judging on the basis of the result of the detection by the second temperature detecting element whether the electrical energization of the heating member should be effected before the start of the movement driving of the moving member, whereby temperature control is effected accurately and at the same time, the slip of the moving member, any increase in driving torque, etc. are prevented.

  • Patent number: 7003253
Abstract: An image heating apparatus for heating an image formed on a recording material, including a heater, a holder for holding the heater, a rotating member rotating around the holder and being flexible and having a metal layer, and a pressure roller forming a nip with the heater across the rotating member, wherein the rotating member moves detaching from the pressure roller just after passing through a downstream end portion of a surface of the heater opposed to the pressure roller. Thus, an uneven heating of a toner image can be prevented even in a case where the recording material becomes undulated after passing the nip portion.
